Mine is quite simple… the green fire quest back in mists of pandaria, the catch being, my gear was absolutely horrible, some of the pieces (if not the weapon itself not sure) was pvp and back then pvp gear stuff was nerfed for pve content. (so basically a mage tower with garbage gear type experience.)
i did the boss fight for 5 days straight, broke my gear numerous times, got poor in the process… all i did was wake up, wipe until time to sleep, then sleep, the wake up and repeat until i woke up in the fifth day and barely woke up my body was on pure reflex mode and i did it.
my damage was so low in that fight, that kanrethad summoned a second ranged demonarch to hit me before i managed to defeat him.
I’ve got a bunch of Cutting Edge achievements, so that’s pretty neat.
Soloing current world bosses
I had a warlock but never even bothered with the green fire quest. Too much effort.
Biggest accomplishment- I got the frost dk mage tower appearance early on. For a while I thought it was impossible though. That mage was a murder machine.
I got a few more appearances but only towards the end when it became easier.
Coming up with head canon to explain all the ‘conveniences’ in the game.
(Weirdly enough, my head canon to explain things like why my human warrior has access to a mount from a place she’s never been or my draenei paladin has access to a title she hasn’t earned is almost the exact same concept as Warbands, only better .)
Definitely nothing qualifying in this category.
Maybe that I’ve never played with a mouse? That might get into FoS territory.
Ah the hardest task of all.
Making something coherent for the PC
Probably getting several mage tower skins during legion. I still use those for mogs all the time.
the CE’s I got when we were doing that level content
oh and that time my raid had like, 8 gnomes, and we arranged a “Gnomes vs. everyone else” pvp fight at one of those legion PVP zones, and we defeated the gnome scourge!
I have two realm first profession achievements from back in Cata. All the tells were fun to see.
Me? I am not very good at this—or really any action-oriented— game, thanks to some fine-motor-control issues (a mild tremor and some nerve damage) and also simply a skill issue on top of that.
However, thanks to a random idea one day and the encouragement of some members of this forum, I started making these little GIFs (a total of 527 now made over 4-ish years, with a very large, involved one on the way soon-ish) just for the WoW forum here, the vast majority made simply to improve the disposition of those that seem to need a little pick-me-up.
Most are not really very good in terms of quality, many having lots of flaws due to a a lack of true skill (I am better though than I was at the beginning…but, a tremor is not the best thing for precision positioning etc anyways). But…there’s always a lot of love and caring for others put into these, and, though some only take 20 minutes to 1h, some others have taken dozens of hours of evening and weekend free time and hundreds of source images and videos for 5-10-20 seconds of animation.
So, though these are only tangentially-related to the game itself in that they involve my or other players’ characters and sometimes environments…I consider them my biggest WoW accomplishment.
Some of my favorites that I have made:
Sorry for taking up so much vertical space with this post. And, thanks to all who have encouraged me over the years: I truly appreciate it.
points to my bow’s transmog
I agree to pay for a sub. every month.
straight, no meme: the friends I made along the 16+ years playing the game
Getting to 1-80 back during Wrath. It took all the patience I have.
2400 in shuffle :<
I’m wearing them.
getting loremaster when the vanilla zone achievements were ‘Eastern Kingdoms’ and ‘Kalimdor’
thank you for what is no doubt a big effort and investment and you have an amazing talent with these
Realm rank 1 challenge mode times from WoD. I didnt end with any of the dungeon titles. But it was cool to have them for a short while and get the achievement.
