What is your best memory from WoW?

Mine is a bit Nostalgic, at Vanilla, but:

My best memory is when I first arrived at Tanaris. I found dozens, if not hundreds dead player skeletons on the ground. Few steps ahead of Gadgetzan, i saw a massive fight of Alliance vs Horde, it was like dozens of players fighting each other.

Then a lvl 60 paladin with Full Judgement set saw me. I was a small lvl 40 orc shaman, but he ran towards me, hit me with a Judgement and threw Hammer of Wrath. I saw that spinning hammer coming while i was trying to flee as a ghost wolf. I died.

Leveling at Tanaris was the best early experience i had, doing quests while, at same time, fight for me life against the Alliance. Oh my, those Windfury crits was delicious back then.

And yours best memories?

My first, and only time, I didn’t get feared into Ony’s hatchlings. Was so proud of my random act of luck.

First time running through Karazahn before WotLK released. We had a casual guild so we started running Kara regularly about six months before WotLK.

The day I first quit

Bro being knick off the fireland edge by a fire turtle ,well he learned to fly the paladin way. There he goes!

Finally taming Gondria back in Wrath.

probably just playing classic wow/vanilla for the first time not knowing wth im doing on launch day as i never played vanilla only BC then i stopped until cata cause i was a kid and my parents weren’t into spending money on video games at the time.

loved seeing all the players in 1 area fighting for mobs, collecting what we call “toe nails” greys to sell and bragging to my friend that i have 1G and he doesnt XD. im an old school mmorpg player i like that type of mmorpg gaming style. it feels more rewarding to me getting basic upgrades but that make a huge difference compared to todays WoW.

other then that its pretty much just gaming with friends, fooling around being toxic to each other. there isnt many people where i live that play mmorpg’s so its actually hard to make friends irl that share the same interests as me in terms of gaming. people here mostly play consoles or games like LoL which idc much for.

now though its hard to get “good” memories in wow. most of my friends quit or take very long breaks and we just grew up. they work, i work, they have kids, etc… i play with maybe 1-2 of the handful i had before long ago the rest i barely keep in contact with. seems like they got personal issues like depression or w.e. from RL scenario’s.

me im not into that kind of bs i want to play and just relax and have fun otherwise might as well stay at work and deal with that bs lol.

Saving up for the level 40 ground mount back in the day and riding around on the mount with guildies.

Playing Vanilla as an Orc Rogue. I would go to Lakeshire, kill a bunch of lowbies, townsfolk and everyone inside the inn then have several in-game drinks. Eventually a bunch of 60s would get called in, I would hide somewhere, log off to get a snack then back in to do it all over again.

I don’t know if it’s my best memory but one of the ones I remember vividly was leveling a dwarf pally in vanilla. When I was in my early 40s, I was trying to level in STV when I ran into a healer mob (Kurzen Medicine Man or something).

I didn’t really know what I was doing so I had this horrible mix of talents in all three trees, and I was sort of trying to be ret but my 2H weapon was pretty crappy.

The problem I ran into was that I couldn’t kill the mob. He was doing pretty meh damage so I could keep myself up without issue. The problem was that I wasn’t really doing any better so I couldn’t out damage his heals either.

After half an hour of going nowhere fast, I finally caught onto the fact that I couldn’t kill him and ended up just running away. I didn’t play my pally for weeks after that.

Obtained the Great Sea Ray mount on my very first fishing cast in BFA while a friend lost his marbles.

Finally learning how to open properly as a rogue back in late tbc.

It really made the biggest difference for my enjoyment of the class. (I mained lock.)

My first wpvp raid defending Crossroads against alliance in Vanilla.

Wiping entire alliance raid in AV on Drek with mind control. Run the tank out of the room and Drek wiped the floor with healers. Saw that dwarf warrior tank afk sitting next to tower before horde won and felt a little bad.

Battle grounds during TBC. Was my first account & was using a gnome mage & always ran with a friend of a friend who was a gnome warrior & he was probably the best warrior I’ve personally witnessed.

Downing Arthas for the first time

Downing Gruul, first large raid I ever did.

Entering Karazhan for the first time and wiping on freaking horses lol

Flying around Stormpeaks and just listening to the zone music while picking herbs and mining

Losing my everloving mind in frustration trying to escort that one dude in Ungoro who kept fainting, my god worst quest ever lol

memory of tormented kings.

i mean, seeing the sargeras final cinematic in antorus for the first time

When I stepped outside of the Census Office in Seyda Neen.

When the game was actually fun and we weren’t flushed down the toilet to be timegated for everything.

First time I visited Orgrimmar. Saw all these players dueling right outside the gate. It was so Mad Max like.

all of legion and the raids were so much fun
