Feral/ Warrior/ DH/ Windwalker/ Rogue/ Survival all have wide comp varieties and can all pair well with wizards.
Why do you think enhance and ret should be forced to only play with warriors? What is your argument against allowing enhance and ret (and maybe dk) to sacrifice a pvp talent slot for a Mortal Strike effect that would allow them to play with wizards and greatly increase their comp diversity.
That would require blizzard willingly giving ret a non-trash pvp talent so…

I think you would just see everyone partner with a ret then because of their utility.
A lot of it comes down to tuning but, in general, ret and enh tend to have more team utility that makes them more analagous to casters than the other melee.
Also, unfortunately, the game is designed more with spec identity and flavor than balance in mind.

Then why did they give MS to fury
Slaughterhouse was a direct response to arms becoming “the pvp spec”
Also not sure about feral and dh, because those 2 specs also require a pvp talent to have access to MS. Have these 2 specs always had MS for the entirety of their existence?
There’s just no way this is true
Yeah agree with this because ret is lacking an MS it’s a defensive extreme.
Deathknight should be an offensive extreme, current tuning disregarded you’d have to change a lot about DK/ret/enhance to give them a mortal strike. Need to factor just how insane unholy MS paired with aff lock would be.
I think it’s become an almost mandatory mechanic with how overpowered healers are though it’s definitely a good area to look at especially since it’s such a noticeable things in environments like solo shuffle.

Would rather they just nerf healer tankiness then give every ms.
Idk, tbh. Rets don’t have a reliable slow and only 1 single trgt stun. I feel like they’d still kind of suck with a caster.
I think remove it from specs like fury/dh and tune them accordingly and make the remaining ms a pseudo cc and not a debuff cuz it’s more engaging and I mean yeah just tune the game better which is never going to happen.
Right now it’s definitely too much of an edge in an environment like shuffle where dampening ramps out of control after the first set of stuns go out
Not claiming this is for sure better I just think reacting to sharpen was more engaging than the hunter pet has been on me all game and now my health won’t go up

I’d give enhance MS just to change things up for once.
Otherwise I feel like there are too many classes with MS, imo.
Man at this point I’m waiting for them to just copy past charge and storm bolt to enhance.
wasn’t fury only kinda meme-viable in legion/bfa until slaughterhouse was added in SL??
arms was the pvp spec

There is absolutely no reason why ret and enhance have been left without it.
People claimed feral had too much before it got its ms. Dh also got its ms when it was really good overall. But somehow ret and enh have something that stops them from getting theirs?

yes. second half of Shadowlands is when they started pushing fury in pvp.
The absolute insanity of 40% slaughterhouse necro banner crushing blow infinite charge 100-0 you in a couple of globals.
And some here even dare say SL was remotely good
ah, necro banner my beloved…
I lean against homogenization. I think every class should go back to having their niche.

Nah. Then whatever classes “niche” is the best, is all we’d see… I mean worse than it already is.
The thing is its too late to be “everyone should have their niche” when lmost all melee have ms.
We know there is no rework that will change all specs. Blizzard is too lazy. So the only reasonable action is to give it to enh and ret and fdk

Specially when arms or warrior niche becomes being the only ms spec (what many herr argue every single day) then we go bsck to warrior/healer/X.
Class identity creates more versatility and what you described is a direct result of homogenization by classes who do the most damage dominating the ladder, as opposed to their unique roles.
