I couldn’t find anything in the recent forums or a quick google search. Does anyone have advice on how to control abom? I started playing dk recently and I cannot for the life of me get it to attack the correct target, especially in 3s. I’ve summoned it and had it smash a fel gaurd or hunter pet several times and attack a player not even close to where it was summoned. I legit think it attacks the correct target, at best, 50% of the time. Is there a macro to make it target my target? Thank you for your time!
Read the tooltip again, buddy. It’s all right there.
the current iteration of abomination is useless in my opinion. Id much rather have legions abomination as a ghoul replacement instead. Not only could you tell it what to attack, but you also gained a free hook from it
There are several ways that you can control your Abom pet. I’m mostly talking from a PVE perspective but they work in PvP as well.
/petattack
Makes your pet attack whichever target you use this macro on.
/petmoveto
Makes your pet move to a position you click on
/petautocastoff Claw
Turns off your pet’s Claw ability, useful when pooling energy before activating Dark Transformation. Specifically useful in AoE situations.
#showtooltip
/cast Dark Transformation
/petautocaston Claw
Turns Claw back on when you use Dark Transformation.
Current Abom is big dam, bro. Huge offensive cleave CD
how is this different than keybinding the pet action bar?
free plague and wounds stacking without needing to spend runes or extra globals. the fact that it does a ton of damage is just the cherry on top.
So that seems to only work for my ghoul, my abomination doesn’t respond to the ghoul commands.
Right, I’ve read it. I guess I didn’t explain my issue well enough. I’ll drop it on top of an enemy holy pally I’m attacking and it’ll wander off and attack a mage 50 feet away. My pet attack command doesn’t seem to work on the abomination.it aimless wanders and attacks what ever it want and where I drop it seems irrelevant at times.
Yeah it’s my bad. I’m used to the ghoul being called abom from Legion. Everything I said only works on the ghoul, sorry.
All good man. Idt there is a way to really control it after it’s down.
