What is up with Travel Form?

I’m back after some time off and decide to level a Druid on some Radiant Echos, but the “dynamic shifting” between the ground version and the air version of travel form seems significantly buggy. While everyone else is mounting up and flying away, I have to shift and reshift a few times to get the flight bar to show up.

I also just missed a fight entirely because somehow I lost my flight bar and got forcefully reverted to ground travel form without realizing it, so when I went to take off I instead plummeted down a hill and into some hostile enemies that promptly murdered me. I resurrected, immediately got aggro’d, and died again before tagging the nearby boss, then had to wait out the res timer and watch the boss die in front of me while stuck in the spirit world.

Did anyone actually ask for the travel forms to be merged? Forms are on their own bar. How in the world could merging them and introducing all of this confusion and dysfunction be a net positive compared to just having Travel, Aquatic, and Flight forms on your stance bar?

These shapeshifts were a big part of the feel of playing a Druid for me, but the low quality of implementation makes it seem far smarter to just mount up like everyone else. Which feels pretty bad, to be honest.

It’s a mess. I’m guessing they’re going to merge both at one point but as for now this is how it looks with a band-aid on it :pensive:

I just want Druid to feel like Druid again
