Slow and doesn’t load.
I wonder, maybe it’s all those spywares everyone warned you about when overwolf took over.
You could try WoWup and see if it provides an experience you’d enjoy more. Them and the weakaura team are partnered and are basically competitors to CF.
Unfortunately some popular add-ons are only on curse forge. So if there is a specific one you want then you would still need to use them. Hany Notes is a good example that has many parts still only on curse forge.
That’s fair - I’ve mostly used DBM/WA/Details/Bagnon.
I can see why someone would want to stick to CF for addons that are only there.
I use CurseForge as well. Though do not use any of those addon managers including that overwolf. Just download what you need and install manually. Make a note to update any addons after every patch update.
Just use Wowup. Pulls from their servers without any issues. I actually opened curseforge out of curiosity and it’s straight up not even working anyways
Yea, usually it’s flawless but lately it’s disappointing.
Thanks btw, I’ll try that out.
edit: Can I delete CurseForge and still use WoWup or does WoWup use CurseForge to function?
Wowup is completely independent and doesn’t require you to have Overwolf installed.
Nice, goodbye Overwolf.
wowup ain’t working either cause overwolf said nope. or at least thats what it says on my wowup right now.
Overwolf doesn’t like how wowup uses wagon to get add-ons which they view as a competitor to curse forge so they denied WowUp use of their API. It hasn’t been fully blocked yet but I’m sure overwolf will out the CurseForge block in place eventually.
Many popular addons are getting ported to wago to make it still possible to update through wowup.
They had server issues for a couple hours yesterday, it was on their twitter feed.
No sir it does not. WoWup and other alternate managers no longer have access to Curseforge addons. Curseforge is huge, so there are many addons that are ONLY there.
It isn’t difficult to manually install adding. Unless cutting and pasting is hard. Go to the add on sites themselves get the zips work the magic update as necessary
Pay for a legit antivirus and stop worrying about 90s problems.
Not sure but ended up with russian keyloggers and crypto miners immediately after using it.
I have a fire extinguisher at home, doesn’t mean I can start fires willy nilly.
And I do have Kaspersky.
Of course it isn’t hard, the idea behind these apps is convenience.
Instead of replacing each addon 1 by 1 these apps do it automatically.
