no, it left a bad taste in my mouth so I found another group. I just wanted a vault key and liked the idea until I received the decline. definitely won’t apply to their community now.
And I usually run my own key, just wanted a weekly 20 to round out the week
One single denial soured you on an entire community? Have you never been denied to a key before?
The answer is yes for everyone who tries to pug keys as a DPS.
I know I have. Many times. I just find it either hard to believe or incredibly arrogant to have negative impression of a community because of one denial.
Yeah. If that’s all it takes, I can see why they might be reluctant to agree to their rules.
you seem to have quite the strong reaction here, are you a member of this community?
as you might surmise knowing I’m in this thread and likely have read some of the previous comments, I have more information than just one denial.
don’t get me wrong, I think being kind to one another is hugely important. That being said, it is a matter of desire, not a matter of being offended
No I’m not actually. I’m just trying to use some logic.
Such as?
I agree with that.
Their whole mission is to be non-toxic but they can’t send a whisper asking you to join disc? That doesn’t seem kind at all. That seems cliquey to me. One person’s opinion, I understand if you disagree

If you run your own keys often, you’d know how many people apply to those keys, and therefore how impractical that would be for everyone, especially when the keys are just run by various members.
Much easier for the members to accept only the people who include the password in the discord.
I run my own keys a ton. almost daily. And you don’t have to message all the people, just the one you want to invite
And you don’t have to message all the people, just the one you want to invite
Then how do you know that they just didn’t want to invite you enough to send you the link?
If you’re not supplying the password, they don’t want to invite you.
WME- Warcraft Made Easy
It is a very well designed discord separated into key brackets
You agree to their rules which are pretty much do not brick the key and don’t be a jerk in the key. When people post keys they way what they need and will supply a password like “Put teddybear in the note”. That will let the key leader know you are from WME and signing up for their key and you know the rules. A great group of folks who provide a nice place for keys to be organized
I think you’re making a lot of presumptions, based on ignorance.
WME is a community, as well as a guild.
You must be a member of the community to be invited and guess what!? No pugs outside of the WME community are allowed, those are the rules.
Joining the community is as easy as, joining the WME Community as well as the WME discord.
So when you apply as a non member it’s against the rules to just take “you” because you responded to a group posting that has more depth to it than perhaps you realized.
The community is 30k members strong, hundreds of keys posted across all brackets daily. The only cliquey aspect is our desire to not be in groups with toxic people, which is also a rule within the community.
Follow step 1 & 2 and then when you follow step 3 & 4 by applying to their groups with any necessary p/w then you’ll be in the same position the rest of us in the community are.
Are you sure WME refers to wowmadeeasy? Why would they advertise on the premade when they create their groups from discord members? Isnt it more like a warmode note?
Why would they advertise on the premade when they create their groups from discord members?
Because the group finder is the easiest way to facilitate cross realm and cross faction group formation.
And why would warmode status matter for a dungeon?
I dunno, I admit its a longshot.
But I guess it could be to help create groups, would probably help if they noted it was only available to their discord members if so. Just to clear up the obvious confusion.

They do mention in the FAQ that it can be a good idea to ask people to ping them in the discord before signing up.
But that’s also said in a way that very much implies that it’s optional.

There’s that friendly introduction again
If you’re not supplying the password, they don’t want to invite you.
That’s totally fine, I’m happy with getting denied by regular pugs
