What is this new change that might be coming?

I just read that they are getting rid of males and females in wow?

Is this true or they are just adding new options for some players in the game?

Most of my characters in games have always been male, regardless of the fictional world they sit in.

Fictional worlds should be their own things (whatever that is). Meaning, the foundations of any fictional world once set should be pretty standard and if changed should be explained well to make sense why a new change suddenly exists.

However, as stated most of my characters regardless of what fictional world they were set in within my lifetime are male and this is because

besides the fact that my characters are unique individuals, personal perks and issues and usually with a backstory, regardless of whatever race they are (if it reflects real life human races) or fictional are still male because I was born male, I identify as male, the world sees me as an adult male and one day I will die as a male.

So, how come then they are getting rid of part of my character’s identity which I have not consented to at all?

Or am I getting something wrong with some of these new changes that Blizz seems to be implementing soon?

If there is criticism with what I have said here that is fine as long as it’s constructive.

Alright, peace

They’re getting rid of male and female and the only option on character creation will be ‘Ohio’.

Nothing has changed if you identify as a potato sack

It’s simply a text and symbol change at character creation, in a feeble attempt to seem more inclusive somehow.

Nothing is really changing.

Especially since datamine evidence shows you will still pick pronouns.

So all these people pretending to be outraged are just silly.

Completely ignoring that pronouns arent even really referenced in game anyways.

wait…

are you calling me fat?

There’s probably a group in the west trying to redefine their language(?).

I don’t have a problem because english is technically not my language, but erasing the term male and female in the media is not a good idea.

in french even objects have a gender - what are we gonna do?!

but Im not french , I identify as Apache Warrior

No, they’re not.

What they’ve done is instead of describing the male and female form as ‘male and female’ they’ve gone with ‘Body 1’ and ‘Body 2’. Now personally I don’t think Body 1 and 2 will be the official names for these options (I wouldn’t be surprised if they go with Masculine and Feminine instead) but that’s what they’ve done on alpha.

Your female characters will still be female, your male characters will still be male. Nothing has really changed there. The visual representation of your characters hasn’t changed. Just the label at character creation and at the barber shop.

Other games like Elden Ring (to name one of many) already do this, where Body 1 and Body 2 are used, not male and female.

Tell us how it tasted. Was it spicy?

I feel if this was the direction in the first place for WoW this wouldn’t be that big of an issue as some members of this community make it out to be.
But Blizzard- and people in general- didn’t think this way back in 2004, so I guess we’ll just see more threads of this shizz.

Now I wonder if anyone has actually made a drink that mimics a lava lamp and I kinda want one…

Edit: I just did some googling and omg it’s a champagne drink. Not as cool though. :C
