What is this garbage?

Ya know, sometimes topics have a lot of comments and I should be able to reply to the ones I want to.

but no, blizz HAS to police that too… “No more than 3 consecutive replies are allowed. Please edit your previous reply, or wait for someone to reply to you.”

what …is this ?? Get out.

They killed bumping since the new forum.

I hate it.

Quote the people you’re responding to in a single post. Quotes notify them as well, not just the reply button.

Is this supposed to be some kind of argument against the new forums?

Not against the new forum as a whole, just that specific thing.

This is the NEW FORUMS

Yes cause everyone knows it’s not a true conversation unless one person does all the talking.

It’s a discussion forum, not your personal blog. If other people aren’t interested in dicussing the topic then it doesn’t need to keep popping up.

Sometimes I bump with agreement to get my point across and keep the conversation going positively.

Not everything has to be Elitist Gatekeeping Vs. Casual Accessibility.

You know you can do that in one post right? Check this out:

I began picking up that habit to make up for bumping going away.

Consecutive Replies means when you’re the only one posting. You’re allowed to post wherever you’re allowed to, but if you keep thinking of something new to add, just… edit your previous post instead of

making an entirely

new post. Because it’s weird.

Ah, the triple bump.

You have mastered it.

On other forums around the web, even though multiple consecutive posts are possible, they’re usually heavily discouraged. A lot are now even set up to auto-merge consecutive replies into a single post.

It makes sense. It’s unfortunate if you post during a lull in traffic and then aren’t able to bump later when there’s more activity, but it makes sense. It’s to try to prevent an individual from dominating a thread.

The only annoying thing is doing all the quoting on a mobile phone. The software doesnt work all that well so it lags an overheats my phone once i try to quote, cut copy and paste my way around. Part of the issue also is that when i am quoting people the quotes get mixed up so If I wanted to respond in a particular order or quote three people for one topic and four people for another topic it becomes a mess. Personally thats the only reason I do not like the quoting system alot on mobile. On pc it works fine enough

Just um… edit your last post. If what you have to say is important, someone will respond.

Hah! If only it worked that way. But then I guess the forums would be dead.

It does. Maybe what some people say isn’t important enough to respond to.
