I was under the assumption it was an hour. I was reading something on wowhead classic and it said 2minutes 15 seconds. I also asked some guild mates who said 10 minutes and another said 30 minutes.
Can anyone clarify and maybe add a source?

5-60 minutes, it varies
It used to be between 45 minutes and 1.25 hours or an average of one hour. Then Blizzard decided to reduce it to account for the larger server populations. They also added many more spawn points. Now it’s estimated to be around ~15-30 mins or so and some even say multiple can spawn in a zone at once.
it used to be 1h on the nose. They have already said it is still 1 per zone at a time. I have picked them 5m apart exactly and have seen them take up to an hour. It was pretty easy going right after the last ban wave and you could see it in action.
Back in actual vanilla yes I believe it was. By patch 1.12 it was between 45 minutes and 1.25 hours averaging to one an hour, which was how it worked in Classic at launch.
Mostly False. It was 1h exactly. That change was put in slightly before the big changes to combat botting and was not effective.
Semantics, but no. It was a 30 minute window which averaged to an hour. Trust me. I’ve seen it. I used to sit at spawn points in a raid group which had every spawn point covered and wait for the black lotus spawn. It was literally never at exactly one hour.
