Like the title says, I am trying to get “Through the Looking Glass” FoS. I am around 643 on my main…would it be easier as a blook dk to do it? I have already maxed out the talent tree. I like to use that title…“the mad”.
Thanks for your replies.

With the full tree it should be doable in the 640-650 range. Most of it is mechanics based though I haven’t tried Orgrimmar on a tank, the swarms that apply a DoT that stuns in Rexxar’s area might be the major hurdle, the rest is just doing damage, avoiding swirls and frontals.
The mechanics don’t care if you are tank or DPS, 630 ilvl or 680, if you handle the mechanics right you would be fine.
Greetings Garric,
I think you can get it done at about 660+ on your DK.
Blood DK is a good choice and both HT’s are strong.
You can try it lower, but in my opinion with how easy gearing is it might be best to spam delves/dungeons and upgrade your gear, then go for the FoS.
Very spec dependent for an ilvl recommendation. Prevailing wisdom seems to be that you need to worry more about mechanics/sanity than anything else, but my experience tells me it’s the trash packs that suck the most. I can melt the bosses just fine, but trash has me fighting for my life to not die to just their autoattacks. And I’m 680!
660+ for sure imo
Once you get gift of the titans, just plan around that and you will be fine
Orgr is a cakewalk with 8 mask, SW is a little harsher… Alleria was easily one of the worst designed encounters
figured I would make a reply here instead of cluttering up the forums with a new post, anyone know if this FoS goes away in 11.2 or 12.0?
That would follow suit with Mad World that went away when Shadowlands went live…
Honestly… bring a pvp trinket. With multitude and nemesis sanity isn’t really ever a thing. What is dangerous especially in the horde one is the stuns. Swarmers are the most dangerous mobs and need mass cc or very long kite paths to kill safety.
The cc break from a pvp trinket is more important then any amount of dmg you could bring.
Nobody knows yet, unfortunately. Blizz put out a post detailing what’s supposed to be retiring at the end of S2/start of S3, but there are things they forgot to include that’re definitely not going to be available next season so it’s possible they overlooked this FoS as well.
I hate fomo…Its just not necessary, imo.
Yes. Tanks apparently have it the easiest.
It’s mostly a trial of being patient and not trying to mazda your way through.
The enchant breaks after S2 so my assumption has been the FOS is gone in S3, although the event may persist. I wouldn’t risk it if you care enough to want to do it.
I think if blizzard wants the feat of strength to reference completing the content within the ilvl range it was initially designed for, then moving into a new season with a new max ilvl means the achievement can’t be completed.
It’s up in the air for me. The BfA FoS was (at the time at least) only available in 8.3, but it’s now returned…and these days, they generally mention in the achievement text whether something’s only available for a limited time. I’d personally err on the side of it not going away in 11.2, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did.
Just posting in the usual “one current Visions thread only” to say I’ve been trying most of the day to finish a mask run on several alts.
The number of those masks is more than 2 and less than 8. I don’t see how I’m getting past Alleria, so have to wait for Thrall.
Given Visions is probably ending in two weeks, maybe this is the last Org week at reset.
OKAY, I saw the official patch notes of 11.2…didn’t see anything about the FoS achievement for doing both cities with 8 masks was going away…right?
Can I conclude that this will be around till launch of 12.0, Midnight at least??
