Does anyone do it regularly in game? For what purpose? I sometimes do it for follow quests but half the time walking is too slow and running is too fast. I don’t get it…
it’s called role-play walking. it’s what NPC’s do.
Mainly for rp purposes, otherwise I can’t think of a good use
Well you use walking to see if you had to much ale or not sir.
Well, they can tell by the way you use /walk
You’re a zombie man, no time to talk
It’s what I do. You’re welcome!
Lmaooo!! thats awesome
I’m rolling over here lol!!
RP mostly, but there have been times I needed to get as close to something as possible without ending up on it or past it and walking is the only way.
I don’t do it regularly but sometimes it comes in handy for when I need to make tiny precise movements for an achievement or quest.
I do it all the time when I have to follow slow NPCs for quests.
There’s one quest in Redridge you gotta walk to avoid waking up worgs. Perhaps others…
The game uses walking when disoriented masking the arms with flailing animation.
RPers use it to wander around. It’s funny to see, if you follow one of them, how far they’ll walk away an rp scene before resuming running or even mounting.
Walking can be relaxing if you’re soaking in the scenery and ambience noises.
I forgot about that one… There should be more quests like that!
Huh… I always just use another player as bait.
When I use to be on PVP realm I use to walk off boat from Booty Bay to Ratchet and there was bunch of horde waiting on dock.
No real purpose. FFXIV made use of walking in Eureka instance by adding high lvl dragons above the sync cap that wake up and kill you if you run by them so you walk instead since they sleep all the time.
Apart from FFXIV’s case, I have never seen any other game use “walking” other then rping purposes.
