I did one and got like, 17 Valor Stones and 9 Key Fragments…
What am I missing, what’s the catch here? Is that really it?

Yeah wow doesn’t explain this for beans really.
Just look for a group for it in the group finder. Get a full raid party and use like. 5 or more radiant echoes when the group is ready so you can get a lot of the stuff needed to make Bountiful Delve keys.

To get you to group up (to get high scores and meaningful rewards) to get keys for solo content while hoping the game doesn’t screw you over anyway and give you the same pathetic reward you get if you do it solo.

Yeah I used up 5 echoes twice because I didn’t really know what I was doing.
WoW devs depend too much on wowhead to do their job explaining stuff.

You must’ve had terrible contribution to them.
I usually get about 120-150 coffer shards when completing a 5 stack one.
But to answer your question, that’s the answer. To get key shards and valor stones.

Even solo I can get ~25 key fragments per Radiant Echo which gives me some extra keys for bountiful delves. It does mean you need a decent contribution score, though.
I’m sure grouping up is more efficient or whatever, but it’s certainly worth doing solo too if you don’t wanna group.
Provided you want more bountiful delve keys, anyway.

yeah, doing them solo still yields benefits when you use one (1) echo to enter the mini-game, such as 25 key shards when you earn 100 points in this mini-game. It also yields achievements.
So, 4 radiant echoes should yield 1 coffer key.

Well that’s a damn shame. What an odd, out of place piece of “content.”
Seems like a complete waste.
It really gets fun - or, well, more fun from my perspective - when there are more people doing it. Mobs die faster, easier to tag, and the spawn rates seem to increase, too. It’s only 5 minutes per ‘entrance’ to this mini-game version. I usually do a couple if i have the echoes, and only when I see others playing in the same zone - you can opt to not join a group, too, if you prefer staying solo. I would just scope out the world soul area and see if others are running around in their ‘azerite’ forms.

The explaination is right there at the portal for using them.
Use 1 to get a small amount of rewards
Use 5 to get a larger amount if rewards
Use 5 after completing a meta achievement for a harder version and more rewards.
Just because you don’t read, doesn’t mean its not explained.

Very little as far as I can tell. You can get some extra keys this way.
If you’re an achievement hunter, there are some tied to it. I’m focused more on this aspect now rather another key or two per week, in case there’s another Taivan type meta later on.
When you go to the Echos in the open world it explains what they do.
There is also a quest to use them that shows you what they do.
The shard WQs are far too infrequent; therefore, Worldsoul Memory events are the best way to get a lot of shards.
To do them, you need Radiant Echoes to use to maximize the event rewards.
To get Echoes, you need to do Bountiful Delves.
To open the Bountiful chests, you need Restored Coffer Keys.
The best source for shards to make Restored Coffer Keys?
Worldsoul Memory events.
I’m kind of like, “I’ll just get my 4 free keys and call it good.”

Rumor has it for Shadowlands 2, the only activities available to players are Radiant Echoes, and Awakening the Machine.
You can get a few hundred of valorstones and key fragments, even solo if you do a x5. You just go there, spend the echoes, and then kill mobs and do the mini objectives. It is easier when done in a group because more mobs spawn so you kill more, get a higher score and get more out of it, but even doing them solo I was able to get an additional 100 key frags for an additional key. But that was spending 5 of them.
So bank them for a while and then spend them on an x5 or up to get a lot of valor stones and key fragments.
It is indeed a nice game! Super easy way to get hundreds of valor stones and a couple additional coffer keys in just a few minutes.
