I bought the “necrolord hearthstone” thinking it is a direct link back to my Primus but it isnt… It is where ever I make my home… Umm, I already have a hearthstone for that. Why are these two bound together and what would be the point of even getting it?

It’s just a skin for your hearthstone, akin to the one among the Shadowlands pre-order items.
Also, the Primus has been missing for some time now. Nobody has a direct link back to him.

Ummm, you CAN set it to wherever you want, separate from your hearthstone. On my DK for example I have the necrolord hearthstone set to the necrolord base and my regular hearthstone set to Oribos.
There’s an ability in your spellbook that “attunes” the necrolord hearthstone to wherever you’re currently resting at and then the other spell takes you there every 12 hours, reduced by each killing blow you deal (which makes it much shorter than 12 hours.

Cosmetic hearthstones have been around for awhile. They’re just fun toy alternatives to the normal hearthstone with different animations. Covenants got their own versions.
In the tooltip any hearthstone that says you can change it at an innkeeper, which the covenant ones do, is just a normal one. Only Dalaran and the Garrison ones are unique.

You literally didn’t even read the item description in game. It would’ve told you exactly what it is. It’s only like the 10th hearthstone toy we’ve gotten.

It’s just a toy like Eternal Traveler’s Hearthstone, Greatfather Winter’s Heathstone or The Innkeeper’s Daughter. If you’re lucky then your new heathstone has a different cosmetic effect than the one you were using. Otherwise you wasted your currency.

How are people still not understanding this, despite the toy clearly says what it does just like all other cosmetic hearthstone toys, and there being the EXACT SAME POST every day on the forums? lol
He’s talking about the renown hearthstone, not the one from Emeni. It is just aesthetic like the winter veil hearthstone.
Why transmog if it doesn’t change your stats???
But srsly though its just for looks. Venthyr one is pretty cool

It’s a duplicate of your hearthstone with a different graphic during the cast, that’s all. It isn’t intended to be a second hearth ala the old Dalaran one, unfortunately.
What about Emeni’s Kidney Hearthstone? Anyone know how that works? I’m a little lazy to switch to Emeni.

I saw someone use the venthyr one and was so jealous!! The Kyrian hearthstone is just a watered down Eternal Traveler’s hearthstone.
You get to put your old hearthstone in the bank to save a slot in your backpack. The new toy icon replaces your old hearthstone without taking inventory slots in your backpack.

It is a toy. There are several now. Have different hearth effects.
