What is the point of slam for Fury

Whether you like it or not you’ll have to deal with it or play something else. Just set loot to arm and get a 2 handed sword for titan grip. Have SMF doesn’t force you to play it.

Unless it’s optimal, in which case, it’s now something that is expected. Arguably necessary.

Once again, adding a problem, for no benefit.

Could throw your own reasoning back at you on that point, too. If you want a weapon for fury, just change your loot spec to fury or arms. There you go, your problem is now solved and you didn’t inconvenience anyone else, much less a whole other spec.

This was fun.

Well it benefits me so I’m more than happy.

Deal with it

In PvP it might be worth using Slam to kill important totems or Psyfiend. I’m pretty sure you can’t Whirlwind those units because they’re immune to AoE damage.

Idk how Fury plays in SL but assuming BT or RB is on cooldown or maybe you just don’t want to waste those CDs into a totem.

Yay we agree on something!!! There was some things that are nice for defensive purposes. Slams just a waste of space lol.

Slam is almost like a rage dump, just like whirl wind. Just one is single target while the other is aoe.

Since people also brought up Shield Block and Shield Slam. On the Beta I haven’t used those abilities, while ignore pain seems a better way to mitigate dmg on Arms. (Deadly Calm seems to help set up ignore pain right off the bat)

Whirlwind is a rage generator that does virtually identical single target damage to slam.

Fury does not have rage dumps. We have two rage spenders - a damage spender and a defensive spender. There is no such thing as excess rage for Fury.

Wrong thread bud.

I don’t think having an extra button like slam, which you will never use as fury is an example of “complexity” to a rotation. More buttons doesn’t make a rotation complex, it makes it clunky and horrible to play.

But by your own logic, the “benefit” it gives you is already a non-issue.
