If I want to cast direct heals, don’t the other healers all do that? Isn’t the point of having different classes that are different that they do different things? Why isn’t lifebloom the tbc version, since that has the most gameplay and thought involved? Deciding if I need stacks, how many, and whether or not I want to roll them is really cool gameplay. “Press cast to make health go back immediately” isn’t why I want to play the hot healer.
If you’re hell-bent on adding nourish, why didn’t you add that functionality to healing touch, which already exists?
I think the idea of nourish is fine, you’re in a dungeon and throw hots on the tank and most fights they’re fine, but sometimes you pull a bit too many and need a hardcast heal or two to bring them up.
However. Nourish fails at this job pretty spectacularly, because for some reason they chose to make it 36% base mana and only a 20% HoT boost. Because the mana cost is so high a downranked healing touch does a much better job at stabilizing a tank. And this must be the only role of this ability, because even though the ability looks like a flash heal for druids, the pre-existing HoT requirement makes that fairly pointless and you can only really use it on tanks who will have a HoT.
I think they need to either decrease the mana cost a lot so it can be used even on non-tank targets (i.e., those without a HoT), or make the 20% boost much higher, more like 50%. And before you say 50% is too high, I’m level 30 on my druid and without a HoT my nourish has 1.89 HPM. My max rank Healing Touch is 2.91 HPM. With a 50% boost, 1.89*1.5 = 2.84. Still worse than my max healing touch, but better than my normal downranked Healing Touch (I have been downranking to rank 3 HT which is 2 second cast, 2.74 HPM. Slightly slower in cast time than Nourish). Unless they can make Nourish somehow beat the HPM of a downranked HT, it has no purpose in PVE.
Right now the only true use case for nourish is high HPS and you don’t care about mana useage. In other words, a decent ability to spam in PVP to keep 1 target alive a few seconds until you OOM (for me in caster gear, 14 seconds to OOM if I spam nourish).
Nourish, lifebloom and living seed are essential all dead, useless runes

Rune of Nourishing
Reduces the cast time of Healing Touch by 1 second, and causes it to heal for 20% more if the target has a Rejuvenation, Regrowth, Lifebloom or Wild Growth active.
There, I just fixed the rune for you Blizzard.

Druid heals need massive mana reduction

Just make it like the one in wrath. My nourish in wrath is really fast and low af mana too.
It’s mostly Wild Growth that costs a ton, because you can’t downrank it like your other heals.
…which is another annoying issue with rune ability heals. Downranking is pretty important to vanilla healing and you can’t downrank rune abilities.
