Need a PVP stat pronto that seperates the Gear. Blizzard must admit defeat on this or SL will have just as Low if not Lower participation than BFA.
Best case scenario versatility trinket bonus also applies to defensive portion
I have them doesn’t feel like it does anything
ever occur to you that pvpers could easily get those mythic 0 runs cuz they could easly get preliminary gear from pvp and not have to grind normal/heroic dungeons or WQs? I swear some people will just find every little thing to complain about. Once the season starts actual pvpers will get high enough ilvl from pvp alone as well
Bonus on trinket should be changed to X% increased versatility bonus PER PIECE of equipped Sinful gear. That bonus should apply to both the offensive and defensive portions of the stat, and should bump our vers from 10-20% up to closer to 50%+ That way we have a 25% damage reduction and 50% damage advantage against pve players. This means you can’t use PvE high ilvl gear with the trinkets to abuse the bonus, or use broken PvE trinkets because you’d lose a MASSIVE chunk of damage and damage absorption.
i did mythics for pvp gear though In legion and Bfa i want that out of My game
you dont have to though? Like 2200 rated gear gives mythic ilvl from nathria
That’s rad. I love getting one piece of gear per week while PvE players will get 3-4. Hell, I may not get a piece at all for 2 weeks while saving for a wep. What a joyous system. They need to stop trying to connect the systems and cut the ties. People don’t want equality between PvE and PvP, they want separation between the two. If PvP is just a minigame in WoW, treat it that way, you need the minigame gear to play the minigame.
love your comment thanks
i mean if you want a 0 grind pvp system there are other games thats not rpg. I can almost empathize with devs when i see such a cesspool of never ending, infinite complaints from people who want the best gear for less effort
also you dont seem to realize how vault works or how upgrades work since you are typing about not getting gear for two weeks
there is no point in honour gear. That’s what the whole complaining on the bg fourms is about.
Conquest gear will be fine btw. Don’t worry so long as you play rated content you won’t be crushed into submission due to gear.
Imo the fact that honor gear was easy and quick to obtain and functioned as a stepping stone to m0/early season entry is more than sufficient. I mean do ppl really expect honor gear(the stuff you can grind by spinning your toon in a bg once every 3 minutes to not get afked out) to be superior to m0 items
Don’t think the superiority of gear matters one bit. Functional in pvp is all that matters to them. If they’re getting steamrolled because they didn’t participate in xyz is their issue.
I don’t think they care one lick if the item says 197 or 4000. They just want to be able to stay relevant in their preferred content by playing the preferred content.
Pvp is competitive in every form, Ranked, unranked. It’s literally you against another player. One person wins, one person loses. It should be a relatively level playing field with the outlier being the people in it, not their gear.
the idea that 197 is going to cut it vs 230 is about as consistent as being 170 vs 140’s right now. Which everyone is experiencing currently.
To be clear, BG players have always been capable of earning a humble set of gear through no extra effort other than doing bgs, that did stand up to the current season, or was quite literally on-par / the same gear.
They just want to have what they’ve always had.
This is exactly it. Back in the day, the resil items were a SOLID amount of ilvls lower than normal raid gear even, but due to resil they were on better footing most times while also at least having adequate gear to do dailies, rep grinds, mog runs, or even heroic dungeons. Sure you’re not gonna progression raid in old PvP gear, but you could at least do the mundane tasks you choose to. Right now PvP gear is just WORSE PvE gear, without any advantage in PvP.
There’s probably something to be said about Versatility, but it’s kind of a poor mans excuse for a pvp stat. Especially since the set bonus doesn’t affect actual defenses.
The reason bg players felt capable of getting “humble” gear as you put it, im guessing you meant the word as in, bg geared people could still put up a fight against conquest geared people. This was only true in legion and bfa cuz of template(legion) and scaling(bfa). Afaik the prev expac honor gear still got stomped by conquest or raid gears(I say raid since keys didnt exist these days) and template and scaling were things people WANTED removed. the consequences are that honor gear, compared to conquest gear, will eventually be garbage in performance
They nerfed PvE drops too. 3-4 pieces a week is going to require a lot of M+ dungeons or some funneling in raid.
It’s also on PvE gear though… So it’s like letting PvE Players get Resil items from raids, yet still having the super high ilvl to boot. It’s just bad game design as a whole. They have tried merging the two systems together for what? 4 expansions now? 3? I can’t keep track… It’s been a failed experiment. PvP glory days was when the two were separated.
You act like WoW players won’t spend countless hours for an advantage, however small it is. If you can spam Mythic+ and have a 20 ilvl advantage over the general public, you’re gonna do it without hesitation.
you talk as though you are clearly someone who has not played a lot of wow pre legion. We want pre legion pvp gearing.
Yeah that’s not why or what happened. BG gear before then was quite literally the same gear people had from arena. MoP / WoD you could earn you entire PvP epic set from doing strictly bgs, never setting foot in arena.
And before then, with resilience in it’s prime, last seasons gear was awarded by honour. Current season arena points. So you had competitive gear as the gap between seasons wasn’t a giant mountain of ilvl.
Same for wotlk with some detail differences. Same for tbc. Vanilla’s just a mess. But HWL gear was absolutely viable lol.
Raiders absolutely didn’t touch PvP geared players before Legion. Only out in the open world, and even then that was just a player-error. (Good players didn’t die in open world to geared pvers.)
