Honestly the class seems useless. It’s not really “Great” at anything. It’s not even really good at anything. What the hell is the point of it?

Hardly they give a great buff, we have a druid tank that we feed leather fire resist gear. Druids are great for diversifying the loot spread and doing a good enough job at the role they need to fill.

Druid can perform any role adequately. I personally am a Main Tank in our Molten Core team, and I tank all bosses including Rag/Onyxia etc just fine.
The support buffs that feral druids provide are outstanding (faerie fire, leader of the pack.) Also druid Battlerez is fantastic. And lets not forget stacking a Boomkin druid with your warlocks for that special 3% spell crit buff.
In pvp, we are the best flag carriers in the game, solid pvp healers as well with Nature’s Swiftness, and can also be assigned to stealth group for towers in AV and tank Drek/Vann with no problems.
In solo pvp, druids can beat almost anyone solo-- assuming they begin from stealth and have the jump. If not, they can escape easily.
TLDR: druid is a fine class, and very versatile.

Feral tanking anything up till raids, and then reliable offtank, ot can MT with people who will trust them

It’s not the best at any one thing without giving up other areas of power.
The true power of a Druid is that they can do it all and their mobility is nuts even by modern wow standard.
If you’re looking to Min-max peak "numbers " like a total idiot, then pick a different class.
If you’re looking for the class with a truly insane skill cap and the ability to do things that other classes simply cannot; then Druid is the best thing you can play.
If the vanilla Druid was scaled up to modern wow I would play it in modern wow and troll the hell out of the BG’s because it’s that insanely good.
Druid is a L2P detector, if you’re having problems then it’s 100% you.
