What is the official stance on using a streaming service like Moonlight?

I’ve been digging around the forums and can’t seem to find this answer anywhere. I’ve only seen quotes with no actual links to official Blizzard policy.

I’d like to use Moonlight on my home PC so that I can remotely access WoW Classic during my lunch breaks at work on my tablet. Mainly to do some crafting or fishing. Moonlight basically streams whatever app that I open on my main PC to whichever device I’m connecting to.

Before I fully commit to this, is this something that can get me banned? Are there any “officially approved” apps that I could be using instead of Moonlight?

Rather than just saying “It’s bannable,” or “it’s against policy,” i’d REALLY like for someone to please provide me a link from an official statement of Blizzard or somewhere in the ToS or wherever that explicitly bans this, as this STILL feels like a cloudy are that I’m unsure of.

Thanks in advanced to anyone who is able to provide me with a clear answer!

I use Teamviewer to remotely login and have never had any issues. Sorry, the best I can do is anecdotal. Blizzard has a safety net blanket statement against third party software, in general, but it’s rarely enforced unless it’s game breaking.

Teamviewer is fantastic! I didn’t even think about using it.

So in otherwords, if I’m low key just fishing or whatever, it’s probably alright? I just like to zone out at lunch and relax, and if I can be fishing in wailing caverns every day, then that’d just be swell.

You have no advantage over any other player, so I’d say you’re fine.
