What is the number 1# thing that made you quit? or makes you at the verge of quitting?

Spec/ role restrictions. I.e. covenant swapping restrictions, conduit swapping currency. Etc.

Usually I quit when something happens to p.c. or laptop. Missed the later half of a couple of exp because of that.

I left during WoD because I got bored, came back about 30 days before Legion. Right now I’m not bored and still have plenty of things to putter around with. Other than boredom I can roll with the punches.

It’s called, “letting the meta develop organically”, and obviously we are all too pleb to grasp this deep concept.

I haven’t quit playing yet but the biggest thing that pushes me closer every day is the fact that M+ is a complete waste of time. Gear capping at ilvl 210 on top of the drastically reduced frequency of drops is a huge pain point for me. I love running M+ but in Shadowlands it feels as if Blizzards goal is to kill that passion I have for M+

Overnerfing Havoc then pretending to fix, the 5% was not enough it was a drop in the bucket, they didn’t need to overnerf only tune the class now Havoc is a garbage PVP class only good for being farmed by other players. No DPS, No Survivability, no invites to raids or rated PVP because of this and Blizz could care less about communicating with PAYING CUSTOMERS wos class was DESTROYED BY THEM NOT USING THEIR BRAINS! on top of all this Time Gating, Class imbalance, some classes overnerfed, some classes OP, No Rewards for Time, PVP progression laughable, PVE timegated and no rewards, very few world quests, and world quest rewards laughable. Botss destroyed gathering, crafting, BLIZ WILL NOT COMMUNICATE ITS INTENTIONS TO ITS CUSTOMERS like we mean nothing and we sit here and wait hoping Blizz will do the right thing like idiots. Time to protest with my wallet, when sub runs out I too will bail if nothing’s done. Will spend my money on a game that has developers that care for its paying customers

This sums up how I feel right now. I don’t mind grinds… hell, in Vanilla, I grinded instead of questing. In BFA I did all the grindy Essences on multiple toons, no problem. There’s just something about this xpacs grinds… don’t really know how to explain it, other than I just don’t like them. I get it… that’s subjective/personal… but this xpac is just not holding my interest, nor does it seem “fun” :frowning:

Low drop rates, m+ vault averaging, and lack of meaningful stuff to do is affecting the overall mood of my guild. I play to have fun with friends but it isn’t fun when even the smallest mistake creates frustration because we all know nothing will change next week due to lack of gear. It doesn’t help my BM hunter is bottom of the barrel for dps now.

I can’t even do the maw due to the severe migraines that something in the scenery (lightning maybe?) its giving me and that includes alts doing the starting area. Thankfully I got exalted although I spend weeks sick as a dog for my efforts.

Without raiding, m+, or the maw, what is left is optional chores that have no meaning. Lolghast is disappointing. Covenants are restrictive (transmog, powers, switching). The whole conduit system. Timegating that’s excessive even for an alt. Even raid transmog sets will never be completed at this rate.

I could pvp if I liked spending more time in the gy then playing. At least the currency is done right…although I’ve had to get weapons for both of my pve characters from it now… :unamused:

It almost feels like these developers are getting off on our misery, their smug, dismissive, condescending, just feels like there is no sincerity coming from Bliz on any of these game breaking, class breaking issues which makes the anger from the community even greater

My guild is in the same position. People are logging in far less. Most people log in just on raid nights now. It’s only a matter time before we all just stop playing until we see improvements get introduced for PvE minded players.

I was getting bored with the xpac playing on my main, BE Paladin. However, I decided to level this NE Druid, the beautiful Droodila and now I’m having some fun. I forgot how versatile Druids are.

I think most of my issues currently come down to lack of communication and doubling down on bad design.

Covenants have been brought up as an issue from their announcement. Player power belongs nowhere near story based choices. Period. Blizzard knowing it was an issue doubled down and now covenant representation gives hard numbers to back up the concerns people had almost a year ago with nothing being done about it.

Class balance is severely out of whack with no real effort to fix it (2% 2h frost buff says hi).

Borderline radio silence other than to post notes for low effort hotfixes (2% 2h frost buff) or promote AWC and MDI, which both suffer greatly due to the above issues.

if they release a TBC server and we go through another phase where we lose a third of the raid to TBC, like we did to classic.

I’ll probably be done. I’ve been recruiting/officering/gm’ing for almost 10 years, and I am just at the end of the line. if TBC is as rough as The Classicing was…

yea this is extremely frustrating.

There are better more fun games out there.

MMORPGs as a genre really aren’t fun when compared to other games.

WoW kinda showed me that my old love for MMORPGs was probably more based in nostalgia than it was in what I actually find fun.

I mean when I was growing up I’d wake up at 5 AM before I had to go to school to game for 2 hours. Now if I break my sleep schedule for any reason I’m not rushing to play MMOs, I’m rushing to play a survival game, or some single player RPG.

What is the number 1# thing that made you quit?

I almost left. Then I stopped running SL content to do older xpacs that are (currently) more fun for me.

To answer your question:

Hire a Game Director that isn’t tone deaf.

a. Unbalanced pvp that has favored the horde since classic wow.
b. Loot starved expansion.
If Blizzard can’t balance pvp better it isn’t worth spending my precious game time doing bg’s.
If blizzard doesn’t fix loot tables then I will stop paying for this game.

I’m trying my hardest to enjoy the game. As someone in the roleplay community, I’ve found some more things to do. However …
1.) The lack of loot is disappointing and frustrating.
2.) The lack of class balance and covenant balance.
3.) The fact that I’ve had more fun going back and doing older content instead of current content.
4.) The 35 Anima … :’)

I do like Pet Battling & collecting, so that’s given me something to do. I don’t mind PvP. I’ve found myself constantly going back and doing Legion content and whatnot, doing transmog runs, etc. It’s more entertaining than whatever Shadowlands has going on currently, which is disappointing.

As much as I’ve been looking forward to TBC Classic, without a separate sub to give a hardline “the state of retail is unacceptable and I won’t pay you for it” I’m probably going to wind up skipping it or playing a wrath server. :man_shrugging:t6:

I cant for the life of me understand how a game this bad, unbalanced, bugs, classes overnerfed and OP, massive PVP imbalance, no loot,no rewards worth your time, make it to be released. Do the Developers pay attention to BETA or the PTR, players concerns? It seems like this company has completely given up and can care less about its player customers. It’s totally disrespectful to customers when they have a question to remain smug and not answer questions or concerns. I couldn’t imagine running my business this way, I think I would be out of business very fast if I treated my customers this way. I have never seen this game this bad, these newer developers better rethink its path, people are leaving and may NEVER COME BACK
