What is the new Alliance symbol, when Anduin dies?

When Anduin dies, what new symbol will the alliance get?

The lion head is the symbol of the house of Wrynn’s.

It will be the same lion head…but it will be smiling now. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Anduin is probably not going to die for the rest of WoW’s lifespan

Depends, I imagine a Game of Thrones feudal civil war would break out among the nobles lasting for years as each noble house tried to put a viable heir son or daughter on the throne as king or queen. Most likely the crest and colors of who ever is ruthless enough to cutoff 90% of the other noble houses and subjugate the weaker ones too cowardly to fight… so something dark and tyrannous most likely :+1: :libra: :black_flag:

You’re assuming he won’t leave an heir. But don’t count on him dying during WoW. The one comic showed him as an old dude going with Velen to take the fight to the Void Lords (although I believe Blizz gave themselves some wiggle room later by saying that is just a possible future).

Basic Campfire for new Alliance symbol 2020

Actually I dunno that might not be a good idea after what happened in Teldrassil…

It’ll be a dragon head when Wrathion takes over.

I don’t think Anduins going anywhere, some people love him, some people hate him, it is what it is.

Personally id like to see Anduin develop past his lovely dovey naive phase. I thought after that Legion cinematic we’d be getting Manduin, but I guess Blizzard gave up on it.

If it’s the same as the vision Velen had of him being the Glorious and Perfect Leader of Everything fighting the Void Lords in the short story, I don’t think they said it was possible because they plan on offing him. I’m pretty sure that wiggle room was made because people started calling shenanigans on it.

Anduin’s dripping head, maybe.
(Think the ‘flayed man’ symbol of the Boltons)

First, he’d have to be pried away from Wrathion. Good luck with that.
THEN get him hitched to some willing and clever princess: I say ‘clever’ because she’s going to have to find some way to get him outta that armor and into the Royal Matrimonial chambers.
This is gonna be FUN!

He won’t die. I’m sure one day he will adopt with Wrathion.

I don’t think they plan on offing him either. But you never know where they might go with the story so anything is possible.

I thought the lion was the symbol of Anduin Lothar, and Stormwind adopted it.

that’s going to be a long long long time from now.

Good thought and it gave me quite the chuckle!
However, Royals are all about bloodlines; never mind the ‘legalities’ of the adoption. All it would take is just one piece of evidence that shows the dear lil’ Crown Prince is actually the misbegotten progeny of …hmmm…now who’s that fav BLOND PRINCE everyone gets all worked up about?
You know…Arthas.
Just one proof that Junior is the result of an unfortunate liason with a chambermaid and WoW’s version of Darth Vader(before he went all glowy and dead and such) and there’d be a civil war to rival the one I’m always on about.

Hmmm.

HEY BLIZZARD!
YOU READING ALL THIS?

Alliance symbol had lion on it in wc3 when Lordaeron was the leading nation.

Oh, the memories.
YES, when I saw Anduin’s entry into Old Lorderon, I was all ‘JUST GOT REAL!! you goin’ DOWNm banshee!
Then
He just stands there like a little…pet. He humiliates Genn, lets Queen Roadkill do and say what she pleases and…
just stands there.

‘Succeeding you…father!’
vs.
drooling hapless adolescence.

I’m beginning to understand why Arthas was great.
time to dust off my old DK.

It’s the symbol of Stormwind in general.

The Alliance symbol is supposed to be a conglomeration of aspects of each race’s flags. The fact that it is basically Alliance seems more like a an artistic design simplification for gameplay implementation.

I would prefer if they went back to only marking combined bases with the combined flags, and then marking the race-specific towns and bases with the race-specific flags, rather than the generic one for the Horde or the Alliance.
