What is the most interesting thing someone has said or done to you in game?

Title says it all. Only stuff other players have done to you counts. Otherwise anything goes.

Mine was this one time a naked blood elf in front of the Org AH to /e me. I laughed when i read chat and it said “Playername wants to ride Esos like a horse!” Thinking about it always give me a chuckle.

I had agreed to sell a very cheap pet snake to someone and when we went to trade he plopped 20K in the trade window… I was like, whoa dude, that’s way too much. He said, “take it, I like snakes”!

He was being extremely generous, knowing I was just getting started on that server!

there’s 3 of some of the more tame instances i think i have tied.

I was collecting mail outside the auction house (on a non RP realm character) and a female blood elf death knight approached me and started telling me that Arthas had her under some sort of sexual control (???) and tried to get me and my friend to ERP in order to “free her soul”. i forgot i was on Greymane for a second and not Moonguard when it happened, was very confusing.

I used to sell glyphs en masse on my troll druid, i got a whisper from a warlock asking for 3 glyphs for her and her friend and to deliver them to her at Gallywix pleasure palace. I joined her group which consisted of 3 female elf warlocks and a male orc warrior, they were inside the inn at the pleasure palace in the bedroom surrounding the orc with their succubi as he laid nude on the bed. After trading them the glyphs they asked me if i wished to join in cat form but I noped out fast.

I was laying on the ground in Valley of Honour on this rogue when I was approached by a blood elf hunter RPing as a dark ranger, she began kicking me and telling me i was littering the street by laying in it, then used haunting momento on me and told me I had the plague. She insisted that the only cure was to burn down the Orgrimmar orphanage and bathe in the ashes so we had an awkward and long RP session of attempting to set the orphanage on fire and then being confronted by some kor’kron RPers who threatened to drown us in the lake, so we ran off and spread the plague to innocent civilians instead.

Yesterday, I was in Org on this toon, standing just outside the AH, and some random player from another server emotes “JoePlayer pours hot lotion over your hooves and rubs them gently.”

Freaked…me…out. And no, they were not from Moonguard.

This is simultaneously the most messed up and hilarious RP thing I have ever read.

Edit: Totally forgot the strangest thing that happened to me. In vanilla I had a little Gnome Mage. When I was about level 30-ish or so in Northern STV, this Undead Priest mind controlled and buffed me, waved at me and went about her business. This in itself wouldn’t be too strange if it wasn’t for the fact that all the way to level 60, everywhere I went in contested areas, I ran into this Priest and she would buff me, /dance and /wave and then go away. At this stage I was still pretty terrified every time I saw Horde.

you’d be surprised at the kinds of RP interactions you can get from simply laying in the middle of the street

I don’t know if it’s interesting persay, but I did have some nice things happen.

I rolled a new toon on a new server and asked someone to drop a blingtron so I might have a shot at vendor trash. Some of that stuff sells for 100 gold. Instead a dude came up to me and gave me 5k. I refused but he insisted and said “hope you like it here “. I’ve since then done the same thing on my main server for 4 or 5 people.

The timewalking mount dropped once and some kid was whispering me grats and was super excited to see it drop. I didn’t really get fired up over it the same way so I just gave it to him. He was so extatic. My friend in my group was like “dude why the hell did you do that?”. I said he wanted it.

Some people just don’t get it I guess.

As someone who visits MG’s goldshire from time to time (for all the reasons you are thinking of) I have been asked to do some downright hilariously wierd things. But you get paid well for the wierd stuff so I won’t complain.

I dont know what your definition of “interesting” is but the most unique and odd interaction was I was hanging around Org and I get a whisper from a Belf asking me if my Orc would ever fight someone (I’m on WRA, so an RP server)

I was like well sure, but if possible he’d rather use his words and talk it out before fighting.

They followed up with if he would kill someone in a fight which I responded to saying that depends on if his life was in danger, if so then yes he’d kill them. Kill or be killed, right?

This last one made me laugh and made me shudder all at the same time. They responded with “Well if he beats my character would he rub his feet all over my elf’s face to humiliate him” I didnt know how to respond so I suggested trying their luck in Goldshire on MG and logged on the spot lol

Back in Vanilla I was in the plague lands when a bunch of shaman rolled up and started following me. I eventually got to a dead end and expected a long walk back to my corpse until I see yelling in chat about the silver hand and an army of paladins roll up and engage the shaman, saving my life.

hmmmm… does falling through naxxramas in wotlk and landing in old east plaugelands count?

if not, i have to recall a maraudon run where i was in a group and we were cutting up and laughing. a guy mentioned jokingly that he liked mustard on his marshmallows and then he was removed… i was freaked out

One of the best things was back in Wrath. I was alliance, and doing dailies at ToC, a horde was going after me, a player came and helped me.
He then sent me a tell saying you may not remember me but I sure remember you, you helped me when I was being ganged up on, and I’m just returning the favor.

Another time I was having a really depressing Christmas, and we were talking about it on the forums.
A player sent me a baby direhorn pet, and a letter telling me they hoped this made my Christmas a little brighter. It did, and it put things in perspective, my life is pretty darn good. I still have the pet, and still think of that kindness.

I spent a lot of time helping new players back in the day… but I was buying them white vendor gear because I didn’t know about the ah. I enjoy helping people so I hope some remember those acts of kindness, however noob I was and pay it forward. Eventually My friends had to make me stop giving away my gold, lol.

During WoD, on my Pandaren Monk in my garrison. I was looking in trade trying to sell Alchemy and whatnot, and this Warrior starts sending me whispers asking me where they recognized me from… I had no idea, and I didn’t know them. I tried to see if they played on any other servers I play on, or if they might have seen me in trade. They just kept on asking and asking, and trying to figure out if they’d seen me before… After about 10 minutes I just logged onto an alt. It was weird.

Back during Cata a random Tauren druid followed one of my alts all around Redridge guarding her. It was really random but cool, he would wait till I tagged a mob then kill it and /wave.

Good god these stories are horrifying. On Wyrmrest I never experience such heresy lol

sounds like you didn’t go around blue recluse too often?

That happened to me in BC, I was questing in Duskwood, it was a pvp server. He accidentally killed me once and he wept over my corpse til I got back, and then kept helping me. It was cute.
