The only ones who even care about the mana bar anymore are healers and arcane mages. Every other DPS/tank class that has a mana bar it might as well not even exist. If its sole reason for existing is to limit heals then just add a maximum number of casts like pallys have with shield of the righteous.
It just seems so pointless to even have it anymore.
Limiting utility spells, mostly.
It’s not the same as just giving Flash of Light charges because it’s not the only spell I have that costs mana.
Healers, mostly.
When i play my Balance Druid i run out of mana all the time.
Elemental goes oom in SL if you shoot too many lava bursts. But yeah, hybrid utility mostly.
I used to have a Blue Rage Bar.
I used to enter a fight filled with Holy Rage.
Now… now I just wait on combo points to build and spend.
For healers, I run out of mana and beg Balance druids for their sweet sweet innervates.
You are a hunter silly. You have a focus bar. If you have a mana bar showing I would check your UI

Pretty much this. Stuff like off-heals (including Drain Life) and Spellsteal absolutely chews through your mana as a DPS spec.
But you regen it pretty fast.
So it’s basically a cooldown without explicitly making it a cooldown.
I will too, but it makes you want to make some more gnomes, right?
It exists for utility spells.
Honestly, I think it’s fine that way in the modern version of WoW.
Sorry, quick to reply on my first post didn’t read OP. But the first reply is right, at this point so you won’t spam self heal over and over. Some specs with haste corruptions right now like the warlock can run out of mana with their regular rotation but that won’t be a problem in SL.

Doesn’t fire’s combust phase currently chew through mana pretty bad too? I can’t remember right, but I think I saw that part of their setup is Lucid Dreams major, which they wouldn’t be running if mana wasn’t an issue.
It makes me wish that more of my non mana users were Gnome rather than just my Warlock.
