What is the longest you’ve gone without a shower and why?

Actually horrified at some of the responses in here…

Wow.

I usually take 2 a day…and some of you shower only a few times a month?

That’s nasty.

Maybe a day at most due to depression. I don’t feel well if I don’t shower at least once a day.

I also go to the gym a few times a week and I shower twice on those days otherwise I will break out.

My record is probably a week or so, not on purpose.

Though, when I have the chance, I like a long relaxing bubble bath!

… every other week? I feel sorry for your coworkers if you have any. Thats gross.

What’s a shower?

While in the military or not in the military?
In the military - 3 months… I was stationed in the middle of desert during the desert shield/storm and water was rationed. We got enough to do helmet baths.

Not in the military - a day max. I normally shower twice a day. Once before work, once after.

About a week and a half. I wasn’t counting days exactly, but my home town had been hit by a hurricane. All power was down, and the water plant wasn’t working so no clean water. It was rough. I eventually caved in and showered in the dark. It was a rough little while until the power was back.

One week. I was a child at Space Camp in Alabama, and I would be DAMNED if I took off my clothes around ANYONE other than my mom.

6 months. War.

four months during covid lockdown

Y’all are free to disbelieve this but I had to live across the hall in the dorms from someone who only showered (as far as I saw given context clues of bath robe) twice between August and May. We had to exercise about like 6-10 times a week, and yes his room did smell as bad as you can think.

Again feel free to disbelieve. I have no reason to lie.

As for me? I think maybe 20-25 days at the start of covid? That time period was really hazily, cause I would remote in and “work” while playing wow for 16-18 hours. And then repeat it again the next day.

This is completely wrong. Showering too frequently can cause dry or cracked skin, that could cause bacteria to get into the wounds caused by the cracked skin.

A week cuz power was out and ice cold showers were not gunna happen lightly

Eventually cracked and took an ice cold shower, it was… a thing

A full shower, about 6-7 weeks when I broke my leg and had to do washcloth baths. Once I got my hard cast off I think I took a 20 minute shower.

At least you knew what was coming. I found out the water heater was broke by jumping into an ice cold shower.

I feel so bad for some of the people some of you have to interact with.
Like damn, spray some Ferbreeze if you literally can’t bathe lol. :joy:
