Rogue mage hunter

Rogue and Mage.

Rogue, but you will need to play a what is comparably a gladiator level all the time to get away with being badly geared.

If your gear is trash, play cold blood prep hemo… its the go to spec for new players and anyone who wants foolproof / RNG proof play.

Once you have what is Molten Core levels of gear the world opens up and you have many play options.

Rogue least gear dependent? Are you crazy ?

Spriest and lock are very not gear dependent. Mage also. Usually casters are not very gear dependent early on.

Melee are usually very gear dependent.

Hunter is not gear dependent because ranged attacks are OP.

Rogues can do alot of work with no gear. All you really need is good weap. Their timers carry enough

There’s videos of rogues with no gear killing high warlord. So yes rogue is least gear dependent.

Have fun with no gear in a BG where everything 1 shots u.

Rogues don’t need gear to do damage but they do to survive. Rogues already are terrible in most BGs.

KEK.
Rogue is fine in BG.

Of the monkey greens and stamina enchants fix this until you get the blue PvP set.

You all can’t seriously believe that rogue is the LEAST gear dependent class in BGs when mage, lock, spriest, and ele sham are all real things.

A badly geared rogue in a BG is relegated to being annoying and trying to make the most out of clutching a few well timed openers, peels, etc. It cannot brawl what so ever. It exerts almost no pressure on the BG and is just trying to cheese the game out.

There is no question that the 4 casters listed above are going to be the most operable in prebis / easy to access gear in BGs. They are ranged with strong base damage numbers, and arent throttled by garbage weapons.

Under geared rogue is a thing in wpvp, sure, where every encounter is completely under your control. Even still, mage, lock, spriest, and ele are all formidable 1v1ers.

Rogue is not gear dependent. Eviscerate does a base amount of damage, you can spec into increasing it’s damage further. You can even pickup a talent so it has 100% crit chance every 3 minutes. Mix in all your stuns that have 0% gear dependency and voila - you are PvPing in your leveling blues

Actually spat my beer out. Rogues are crazy with no gear as the tools, CD’s, resets, etc etc they get are god-like.

Frostfire is either a troll or just 100% clueless on vanilla

I would probably go Shadow Priest if my goal was to PVP and not have to sink a lot of time/gold into gear.

The Rogue comments are funny to me. I just really like the thought of Rogues getting deleted all day long, so by all means YOLO gear and find out.

You’re asking for 3 different things here.

WPvP you want a rogue or maybe a shadow priests. Everyone else needs gear or experience to not get dunked on, Rogue you just have to pick your battles and shadows are just easy to play and strong 1v1

New player? Something like Shadow priest is incredibly easy to play at the basic level. Ele at the most basic level is as well, as is Frost mage. Rogue at a basic level can be easy… but it’s going to have an incredibly high ceiling as well and to do more than choose already incredibly lopsided fights (ie actually contribute) you will need to learn fast. Something like warlock is gonna be rougher for people who have no idea what their doing.

For bgs it really it depends whether you like melee, or ranged. Ranged dps tend to be stronger overall, and frankly more impactful. That said, there’s also something to be said about not having any gear, in which case you depend on utility. Rogues have obscene amounts of utility and can win bgs naked just by capping a key base, locking out healers, or timely CC. Warlocks and Mages also have absurd amounts of cc and can be very useful just assisting others, even naked… unlike rogue they just can’t as easily hide from fights and will be pretty squishy until better geared. Shadow also has a lot of utility, but it comes via balancing dispelling, shielding, offhealing, mana burning and damage… and they are extremely limited on mana, so knowing what/when to use what is key.

You still getting wrecked by AQ 40+ geared players unless they’re afk or just super bad like most the people commenting here

Sorry friend, not getting wrecked unless im out numbered by good players.

FYI the druid you’re talking to is the pally with the “PVP videos” on a new toon. They deny it but it’s extremely obvious.

Wait… the one that claimed he was was on the best PVP team or some crap?
