What is the Hallowfall Arathi Timeline?

As I was questing through Hallowfall, I kept trying to figure how long they’ve been down there, exactly…

Anduin and Alleria said that perhaps Beledar turned void when Sargeras stabbed Azeroth. If that is true, then they were already down there before the end of Legion.

But then, some random NPC said that they were there for 10 years??

And then other NPCs said that they were a group of Arathi humans and high elves from quel’thalas at one point, and today they’re all one people–the Hallowfall Arathi humans… so that means that at least 1 generation must have passed for all of the elves to be inter-bred with the humans…

BUT THEN Faerin talks about her parents probably miss her…

What is happening?

Has anyone been able to figure out how long they’ve been down there for? Because if they’re Arathi, Stromgarde had been a destroyed kingdom for decades before the events of World of Warcraft…

That one is easy:

A long long time ago a bunch of Humans and Elves left the Eastern Kingdoms continent and established the Arathi Empire somewhere.

After that, they started the funny business and became an Empire of Half Elves.

A long time after that a few of them got teleported underground and those are the ones we met.

The “interbreeding” happened long before they ended up in Hallowfall.

Easy. They’re just explaining that they were already vibing underground in Hallowfall for a couple years before Legion happened. That is when Beledar began sometimes shifting to Void.

To Void yet alas we know not whether it’s Void of Cosmic Shadow or not until Alleria tries to ingest the power of the Dark Heart.

Xe’ra is stated to have a connection to Elune(whether a creation of Elune as Legion claims or merely someone with an unknown connection to Elune like Chronicle Vol. 4 claims) and Elune is known to have a Night phase and Xe’ra’s core Light’s Heart resembles a Coffin(it is easy to imagine the Light encasing a being in Light to create a Naaru) so for all we know L’ura was corrupted by the Night Warrior within Xe’ra!

The fact that Alleria can ingest the Order of Night’s power means she is of the same essence as Beledar whose Void Phase is the source of their power according to their journals and propaganda and as such if she can’t consume the Void of the Black Blood then L’ura and Beledar’s Void Phase are the Void of the Cosmic Force of Life not the Void of the Cosmic Force of Shadow.

To those stating that Void can only be a School of Shadow let me remind you of Ardenweald’s Nature Magics and Sindane’s statement that Necromancy(which like Void and Nature is in the same place as Arcane, Holy and Fel on the Cosmology Map) is Necromancy regardless of which Cosmic Force uses it(and we see Light use it twice: once for Calia and second for the Priory of the Sacred Flame in Hallowfall).

Therefore there can be Void Life Magic with the Night Warrior being Void Life!

If Xe’ra was a Night Warrior and more specifically Mu’sha her being blown up by Illidan would disconnect her from the Light and start the Earthmother’s shift to Void Life. Close enough to the stated point of time when the Void shifts start yes?

The fact that the roots near the Beledar are digging deeper and closer to the Black Blood means the Earthmother is willing to kill or corrupt An’she with Shadow to shut up his and Night Warrior Xe’ra’s argument over her body.

Better be afraid as it might be Void Life we have to deal with at the start of Midnight with Void Shadow coming in at the moment of Xe’ra’s demise in the Realms of Life!

This is exactly how everything should be explained in game.

The arathi branched out all over azeroth well before stromgarde fell. They branched out and formed the seven kingdoms.

  • sometimes sometimes between 2,800 and 1,200 BDP high elves and humans sailed somewhere else (empire-land)
  • sometimes sometimes between classic (24 ADP) and legion (33 ADP) (probably cata) they went to hallowfall.

That’s it.

Yep, but the level of interbreeding is probably varied on an individual level. I have met at least one Arathi official that look 100% elven to me.

A bit like the British empire that set up colonies all over. Britan still exists but apart from some half-forgotten islands out there can hardly be described as an empire anymore. One of these evolved to become the United States of America, a modern superpower.

Maybe some are 100% Elven.

Elves live for hundreds, even thousands of years. It’s entirely possible that some of the Elves who started the Arathi Empire are still around.

I wanna say they’ve probably been there around the time of Vanilla (probably right before), so maybe like ~30 years lorewise.

We know this because Faerin and Anduin are basically the same age, and Faerin was a child stowaway when they first crash-landed there.

Orgrimmar is of a similar age to Hallowfall, because it was constructed between Warcraft 3 and Vanilla WoW.

The only real issue I have with it is that they’ve basically already added spaceships into the game, and have shown the “entire” world of Azeroth multiple times. Some random continent where a grand Arathi empire is supposed to be, yet isn’t visible at all… that’s going to require some really weird and hard to accept storytelling.

You see Elrond during the 2nd age tried to cast a teleport to Mordor spell.

It backfired and sent half his army to Azeroth underground.

They aren’t actually native. We’ve all been deceived. Also, it teleported Shelob’s cousin HeBob with them.

Beledar is just Smaug trapped in a giant lamp. Elrond really was bad about spells. Once Warriors learn the Fusrodah shout we can unleash the dragon who has the Heart of the Mountain in his belly. But first we have to fight the Balrog hiding under the next tunnel in the Coreway to Kezandoom

Ol’’Sargeras was crafty. Cause that’s actually just Fel infused Annatar aka Sauron. But not as crafty as Blizz writing this fan fiction of LoTR

As we know, navigation is not the draenei’s strong suit.

The sky obscures many things.

Pandaria was shrouded by mists.

Dragon Isles had like titan invisibility cloaking technology lol.

They’ve hinted that the landmass they are from is over extremely rough seas, maybe severe cloud cover.

Yeah it’s probably a ret-con, but I don’t mind it honestly.

Azeroth, we’ve had planetary models of it since Wrath with Ulduar, and they kept adding more to it lol, like Pandaria and the rest.

Those in-game globes are very outdated by now.

Maybe it’s east of the Eastern Kingdoms.
It makes sense that nobody else would sail there.

They looked cool, though.

Don’t worry about that.

There’s a lot of clouds over the Azeroth we saw, so we can’t see everything.

Plus the playable world is always scaled down, that’s why towns have like 3 houses in them. Lately Blizzard has been a lot more into slightly scaled down islands rather than extremely scaled down continents.

Look how minuscule Zandalar and Kul Tiras are in lore:

They can fit a lot more islands under the clouds.

2,800 and 1,200 Before the Dark Portal (BDP): Old Arathor

Somewhere between 2800-1200: A % of Humans and High Elves sailed across the Storming Sea and found the New Arathi Empire

10-15 years ADP: Arathi Emperor has a vision about the Beledar and Renilash and sends the Hallowfall Expedition out. Then a storm nearly destroys them, they magically teleport underground. Then at the end of Legion, Sargaras stabs the planet, and Beledar started turning void as a result (which I suspect is due to the old god blood seeping underground).

Also that timeline of 10-15 ADP should be around MoP cause Dragonflight is 40 ADP based on the wiki timeline and MoP is 30, and I feel like it should be after Cata otherwise that’s going to be a major oops if they didn’t even notice the Cataclysm. Or maybe the storm was a result of the Cataclysm :face_with_monocle:

I believe everyone from that version of the Arathi be it human ,High Elf and Half Elf just consider themselves as Arathi because they are from one land.
