I did not play PTR but Zereth Morthis look like pointless
Why should i do this content if it don’t make my character stronger in endgame content ?
I’m missing something ? Sockets ? Do you think 2 legendaries will be gated behind Zereth Morthis ? like flying

Just do it or don’t. Real grind is finding a reason to click the play button.

As a level 10 monk, I think you can safely ignore all of it.

Those contents are more about min maxing your char than actually mandatory. Two of my friends never did step on korthia and we did all 22 keys just fine.
Didn’t they say 2 legendaries is gated behind it?
Right now the Grind will be for Flying. That is what is showing as the goal. I think Soulbreezy worked it out to 37 days of daily quests and grind to get flying.
However, I wouldnt be surprised if they add more things and the two legendary power progression to zereth mortis. Blizzard now has a pattern where they attatch power progression to grinds, in order to get people to play the way they want to play.
I really hope they turn a corner, and dont make everyone grind Zereth Mortis every week, like we had to grind torghast. Just make the zone fun, with fun things to do, and people will do them. The people who dont, will do whatever they want to do.

I know but Zereth Morthis look more pointless , there is legit nothing who increase the power of your charact lol
I think its gated behind the story, sockets, the infinite rune and high level conduits are gated behind the reputation
But you get the reputation and story progress from doing the new area? O.o
We didnt see everything yet, those itens wowhead posted today are everything we can get or is it preliminary?
If it’s everything, you are right, the only nice item is the infinite rune
Yes , only infinite rune . I’m really afraid lol
Everybody is going crazy for flying but 2 legendaries oh nooooooooooooo no no , you have to clear full Zereth Morthis to equip 2 legendaries sdfdfhfkjfkg
If thats the case, it will be the last nail in the coffin lol

They are making a point to not have socket/conduits progression be a thing for the outdoor zones. Which makes me think they’ll have a wakening essence/echoes of ny’alotha currency from all content (primarily instanced for pvp and pve) to progress those things.
The two lego thing is just to get people to do the zone one time at least on your account. And flying there is only for the zone. If you are pvper or have your 20s teleports/old ways to quick travel you’ll do as you’ve always done.

I don’t know if it’s pointless or not, but I am looking forward to a new zone that doesn’t look all fugly like the Maw or Korthia. I think it looks cool.
hides elixir of water walking
And I hear we will be able to walk on the water, which will be amazing. I wonder if we will be able to go underwater, too!
This guy ends his sentences with “lol”. There was another guy that used to do this all of the time.

Do you think we will be able to walk on water underwater ?

There is only one way to find out.
The purpose of the grind is to keep people busy, so they don’t ask inconvenient questions about what is going on at Blizzard Central.
ok i have find answers guys
-Through the Cypher of the First Ones, you’ll be able to craft any item (with certain restrictions) into a Tier set piece.
This means that all players will be able to benefit from Tier sets, even if they don’t raid. However, the intent is that it’ll be faster to get your Tier set pieces through raiding, compared waiting to unlock the upgrade on the Cypher system.
So Zereth Mortis is mendatory

Really no reason at all. Since the lawsuit Blizzard wants to show that they are listening so they just gave world first raiders what they wanted which is a zone that can be completely skipped. Now they will do their race to world first and then never touch anything outside of that raid.
For the rest of us this new zone is for “lore” and “exploration” but both of those aspects of wow have long since been watered down to irrelevance.
