Title says it all honestly lol. I’m getting a bit of mixed responses when I ask this question to people on twitch.
Hpal or hpriest are probably the most straight forward, and require the least amount of hard casting
Hpal for sure.
I find hpriest to be super easy.
Hpal too to a lesser extent.
Disc Priest is pretty easy too. You literally just sit back and PvE until something happens.
Like all things, there’s a difference between ‘getting the gist,’ and ‘playing it well.’ But I think Castweaver is the easiest class in the game, in general. Then Hpal, Hpriest, and Disc are all about the same in complexity.
However, Castweaver generally sucks outside of BGs.
If holy priest is good I think its the easiest healer, hpal second.
Rsham is dumb easy i swear and super op right now
I always felt disc was easier than holy. Right now you can play super defensive, 40yards away, and only penance for healing too. And having shields, penance channel while los, and PS to smooth out damage always felt more chill and less stressful than ping-ponging health bars on holy imo. And then yes, hpal easiest otherwise.
If you’re halfway decent R1 as hpally is possible.
Disc and herald hpal are also way more forgiving on tanking a bad kick tho your not really casting on hpal atm outside rep and maybe tyrs
Hpriest. Hpally is nice because of Sacred Weapon but Priest has like 4 CC immunes, pretty good if you’re newer.
Eh I don’t plan on playing Lightwhatever I was going to do Herald.
I will never be good at death/fadeing cc on priest. Something about that gameplay loop just feels worse than sheering/grounding.
Herald is just as good. Lightsmith is really only so strong because of hunters. Recovering from a trap or stopping a clothie from getting double tapped in the opener. Situationally if you are healing a lock against double melee.
If you only care about duelist and you spam your focus rep macro anytime the other healer is in line of you, hpal is by far the easiest healer in shuffle.
Not to mention you can throw weapons while silenced.
The health redistribution from weapon as well as 2x energy beacon completely ignoring MS and damp when combined is just busted, especially against set up comps
I agree that herald is almost just as viable and people who are used to typical hpal playstyle would probably be more successful at it than LS
This is obv mostly placebo, but I like the LS weapon enchant spell. Idk how much of a difference 2% main stat and 5% armor really makes, but it makes me feel more powerful
I don’t believe it’s base INT either so trinket procs, draeni racial ect are all increased by it
Herald is definitely easiest to start with and more straight forwards and better healing power.
