What’s the difference between Portal of Summoning and Ritual of Summoning? Which one should I be using when it comes to summoning multiple people?
Just always do Portal of summoning. It creates the closet and has all the same requirements, but you can use it multiple times.

I was asked earlier to help summon a few people, but I only had the 1 shard, and I was like “Wait a minute, don’t I have a closet that I can do that can probably summon those 2-3 people?” Then I did Ritual and it was one shard per person, a little disappointed.
if you have the other book you get at the same vendor , you can duel people and drain them for shards.
even better when you get the soul siphon back rune it turbo charges it and makes it drain very fast.
