How is one form of cheating bannable but the other is not?
Who said that faction collusion isn’t bannable? It depends on the context.
However, faction collusion is a lot harder to prove because Blizzard has no jurisdiction over third party programs, and that’s where a majority of collusion most likely takes place.
What if said cheating could be proven if they just check the darn chat logs.
Then report them in-game
I rather see a bot farming then having a member of my own faction give my location to alliance so they can come jump me with no chance just me imo.
The mount coalition on Earthfury is disgusting and is breaking the server apart, even though those involved enjoy making up excuses and making jokes about it. People are upset on both factions, I’ve had many whispers since making my post on the Earthfury forum.
You should report same faction griefing especially. The more reports the better. You can only report on actual in game stuff that can be proven, this part is true.
Blizzard took months to ban bots and this is over in a week, therefore I wouldn’t count on anything happening.
If you can’t figure that out, I doubt anyone can explain it to you.
Well it kinda helps that one is not considered cheating…
There is no policy against cross faction collusion, it was removed from the code of conduct a long time ago and was not brought back for classic. So until Blizz changes the code of conduct to say you cannot work with people of the opposite faction it will remain a non bannable offense because it breaks no rules.
So I guess in simplest terms, botting breaks the terms of use you signed to play the game, and there is no rule in the Terms of use or code of conduct against working with opposing faction. That is the difference.
Why can’t everybody just decide to kill everyone in the guilds that are conspiring. Wouldn’t this work?
They probably lack the organization, they need someone to take charge and form an anti-conspiracy coalition
Botting is when a program plays for you.
Collusion is when you organize with the enemy to achieve more.
Because collusion does not cost blizzard money.
It also could be reworded as Alliance, Bonding, Politics, Cooperation, Working Together, Community…
It could potentially. It seems like saying people should form their own groups to police their own communities/cities. Citizen-run vigilante organizations should deal with organized crime syndicates.
That’s a sort of interesting rewording, but potentially not too different. It’s all about organized groups doing things. How decisions are made as to what words we use to label each group is up to ???
After all it is a JOINT war effort right? Clearly Blizzard intended for us to work together on this one.
Everyone knew this kind of stuff was going to happen. If they wanted to prevent this type of behavior they would have come out and said they would penalize it.
However just like Dragonslayer buff this is a form of cross faction collusion that has existed since vanilla in some form or another and therefore doesn’t violate the spirit of classic.
