New Wow player here. I like mage jobs and read that Arcane mage supposedly got reworked and is really easy to play now and fun. I am level 62 on my frost mage, so i switched talent tree to Arcane. I am so confused by it and don’t find it fun at all. Was this spec reverted back to what it was at the last minute? Does it get better with Hero Talents? Thanks.

Sunfury makes arcane slightly more difficult compared to Spellslinger.
Summary: If you liked Arcane before, you’ll probably really like the new version. If you did not like Arcane before, this new version is more approachable, but it still requires a lot of practice to git gud.

Oh ok. Well, like i said, i’m new, so i have no prior experience with it, and find it very confusing. Guess I’ll just stick with frost. Thanks for the reply!
With new talents and every thing now is the prime time to learn the spec. It’s the beginning of the expansion so everywhere is relearning stuff. If you’re interested give it a whirl!
I’ve been super enjoying arcane (rolled in remix and carried to live).
Interesting to read through some comments here about how arcane is doing. I last played back in shadowlands, mostly some BG’s and I absolutely loved how lethal the spec was. Even in dungeons, popping cooldowns and nuking a boss to half health in 10-20 seconds is something that never got old.
Might have to jump back in and give arcane a go for WW!
