What is the biggest DPS buffing healer and do people notice it / like it?

So I am going to ask the derpy question as someone who comes from FFXIV. In that game we have a healer that quite heavily focuses on buffing allies (Astrologian).

Is there anything equivalent in WoW?

And do people really like this healer and appreciate them for padding their numbers?

And idk if WoW has an “fflogs” equivalent, but how much raid DPS do they add through their own efforts and their buffs?

Like I heard of MW monk adding a nonstop 5% buff to all allied damage and my brain almost fried, because that would translate to huge amounts of rDPS in FFXIV. Like it would just dwarf every other healer in raid DPS…

Like there’s group buffs but resto druids and holy pal can do well in dmg. Though tanks are the more multiplying with big pulls if you don’t wipe.

It’d be Mistweaver with the 5% physical. But the thing to remember is that all monks bring this buff, they just need to hit the mobs/bosses to apply it. So as long as you have 1 monk of any spec, you’re fine. In raids this is often Brewmasters.

In dungeons, sure, it’s a good buff if you don’t have a Windwalker or Brewmaster, but does it make up for not having a Resto druid? The consensus seems to be “hell no”. Not only do they run into mana issues, but MW dps alone is a lot lower than a good Holy pally or Resto druid. And the battle res being even stronger this tier since Boomy isn’t so hot anymore.

So basically, no it’s not really a thing. If you end up with a dungeon group that has it, cool, but nobody really builds comps around it.

Buffing others in a support role really isnt a thing in WoW.

The MW debuff is the closest thing that really comes close, and you dont have to be MW to bring it. Just be a monk.

Dang… so what would be the highest DPS then :(?

This makes me a bit sad not gonna lie ;~;

Is resto shaman super far behind? Using offensive totems seems fun…

Only thing dps players notice are their dps numbers.

Mistweaver Monks would be the most like a DPS-buffing Healer, just because of their debuff.

Monks were one of the least played classes. I do not know if that has changed. My MW Monk gets invites to pugs often just because of the debuff, and is usually the only Monk in the raid. So in that sense, it can be a thing.

As far as DPS that buffs others… Balance Druids can innervate healers, battle res, and offheal a tiny bit.

Ret Pallies have various blessings/hands. Freedom, Wisdom, Kings, Protection. They also can offheal, and even off tank in a pinch.

Oh… that’s pretty good then o_o

I suppose if not too many people are doing monk then that might add a lot of incentive to play one
