What is the best warrior spec for M+ after the fury buffs?

Is it still Arms or does fury do more dps now?

Fury has pretty much always been slightly ahead of arms in M+ hasn’t it? The buff just widened the gap a little

Depends on how CD-skewed* the average fight length will be. The more sustained the damage, the more Fury seems to push ahead.

  • *i.e., how near to a multiple of your CDs cooldown + one instance of duration (with stuff like Bonegrinder being counted therein), and how few that multiple is…

With Signet double-Bladestorm and Anger Management keeping Reck up for both, though… idk, Fury may outparse Arms in most trash regardless.

I run Arms as often as I do mostly just for the 6-seconds of 100% mitigation from melee attacks I can give to the tank every 93 seconds via Die by the Sword + Conduit, atop the baseline 6-9 seconds 100% physical mitigation I can give via BoP + Intervene/Challenge, as I tend to run with an HPal.

Indeed, as others mentioned, there are various factors that will decide that. I’ve been testing out Fury the last few days and what it comes down to for me, is affixes. Fury during explosive week, cake wake. Arms made it feel slow and clunky switching targets and waiting for auto attack or spending rage. This week, with spiteful shades, OMG DbtS on Arms is a life saver. As for the dps, I find they’re so close to each other it comes down to the little things.

Explosive Week for Fury with Venthyr or with Fresh Blood is just under Shadow Priest with Death and Madness.

“No, no, it’s fine. I guess I could get them.” Gets several more timely guaranteed Enrages over the fight and/or several more cleaved Condemn casts.

Or back in legion warmachine talent version that give a bunch of haste when you kill something that would work with orb so you get that sweet haste buff uptime!

Guess I should have tried to push my spriests key last week.

Indeed. The 40 Insanity per Explosive makes them a near guaranteed slot, especially where focus damage is especially desirable. And as its pairing was Raging…

I want it back. Or something even better, ideally.

While true, I feel I too often have to use it on the tank instead in 12 or higher keys. (Granted, you’d be using DbtS on both of you, anyways, so any time you have to use DbtS and the tank/target’s not taking unparryable physical damage, Intervene.)

It makes me think, though, that the perfect Fury utility buff would have just been to let it use Shouts off the global cooldown, and a good buff for both it and Prot — to just give Whirlwind and Revenge a slightly even larger radius.
