Turtle for the survivability cooldown for higher uptime/ not spending as much on food?
Wolf to just stand next to you and howl?
Wind Serpent to Lightning Breath from 20 yards?
Cat for high damage+claw focus dump?
Owl for Screech+claw focus dump?
What would you suggest?!

Wolf is what most people are going with for Ony and MC.
Cat or Wolf. Anything else is subpar. Turtle is the worst possible pet you could get.
That honor goes to scorpid. At least a turtle wouldn’t take up a debuff slot.

Yes, Turtle might be good for soloing dungeons because of it’s survivability. I’d prefer a gorilla or a bat. But it doesn’t bring anything to a group or raid.
Oh come on. You don’t need to play that wolf. You just need to tame it and play with it for a minute to learn the abilities. Then you can train any wolf in the game

Turtle’s are my favorite pet, but that’s strictly in regards to questing/grinding etc… due to their survivability. You can take on a ton of mobs with a turtle.
They serve little to no purpose in a raid however. Worst damage of all classic pets I believe.
It’s a cool looking wolf. But once you’ve learned the abilities a wolf is a wolf is a wolf.
I never said it wasnt. I was merely offering the OP an option. I understand how pet training / pet management works.
I am using a boar. Debating on getting a cat though! Boars can eat anything which is super convenient and they have charge!
I use a boar for farming. With charge it’s the fastest way to farm. But charge isn’t useful in groups. You don’t want the boar to charge in. You want to wait a bit for the tank to build up some aggro.
