I think necro hunters would technically have more bragging rights. Flayed shot is useful, at least.

It depends on your play focus.

If you’re PVP, definitely Venthyr for Flayed Shot.

If you’re looking at Raiding, likely Night Fae (for that really awesome, but pointless in PVP, aoe ability).

I never tried Kyrian because I started as NF and moved to Venthyr for PVP.

The issue here is that door of shadow is useless for hunter because they already very mobile

Yep Kyrian is numerically the best at the moment. Though at low gear, Night Fae will still scale better (LFR/Normal).

Door of shadow is useless for everyone.

(edit - except for reaching mushrooms in Korthia)

Flayed Shot is pretty fun though.

What kind of hunter? Beast Mastery, Survival or Marksman? What content are you going to play? Raids? PvP? Every question requires endless research in Wowhead or Icy Veins.

My other hunter was Necro because they are cool people. I liked Death Chakram for a lot of solo stuff as MM.

It was also funny if you were able to stack the ticks and damage in Torghast quite a bit. I’m NF now though.

MM - Kyrian for everything
BM - NF for PvE, Venthyr for PvP
Surv - I think NF for PvE not sure tho, Venthry for PvP

I use it to skip the eyebeam on Eye of the Jailer. It’s not entirely useless. It’s just very niche for a hunter.

Necro Hunter for PVP and PVE in my opinion.

Chakram is a good burst damage for single/multiple targets and Flesh Craft can get you out of some sticky situations, FYI.

Feign death, pop flesh craft.

Comes in handy during dungeons/Raids as well

Under Emini you can use Flesh Craft while moving and get another hearth stone.

I personally like Necro Lord for PVP and PVE in general.

The armor look is a bonus as well and looks fantastic on Hunters. Tame some of those pets in Maldraxxus and look super epic in the Shadowlands.

Kyrian just all around. Really. Ability is on a short cooldown and is easy to use.

That said, my hunter is Venthyr for the aesthetics…also flayed shot just feels good in the rotation.

I’ve done pretty well as a NF for BM in both raiding and M+.

I agree with everyone in this thread who have said that NF is basically useless in PVP. I’m looking forward to 9.1.5 so I actually have a viable covenant for all three types of content.
