Now I don’t want answers based off “I made this class and only ever played it but I love it”
What do you think is the best class based off the MANY you have played.
I used to think demon hunter was the best.
Double jump and such great mobility.
Fast game play.
Its amazing.
But I don’t really like melee
I like being able to target from a distance.
I just made a demo warlock.
Best thing I’ve ever played.
Fun rotation
Great self heals
A body guard so you don’t have to worry about health.
Decent mobility
Body guard kills everything without your input in old content
Amazing for playing solo
Great aoe
Only downside is lack of insta cast.
Its the best thing I’ve played in the game ever
Might just be my new main.
So what did you find to be your best class and why was that?
Honestly try to convince me as I’m going full casual and would love to find the best solo play option that suits me.
Right now it’s warlock but I only recently found this spec (I tried warlock before but not this spec) so if this spec can win me over, there is no reason your favorite that I’ve not played can’t too.

Its a good reason to some extent!
I felt the same about my class and I played it for years and years.
All alts I tried did not compare
And then I found demo lock
So I don’t rule out the first someone tried because if you played it until now it has to be great.
But yeah, it seems playing everything can open eyes wider than expected. At least in my experience

the truth is the rotation makes sense in my head. enhance shaman is a close second followed by arms warrior. Ranged annoys me, pets annoy me, but this is my preference
best is pretty subjective for most people, but it generally has to come down to what you value?

what roles
Theme.
For me i value flexibility, and for me druid has always been that. it fits all 4 roles, and it has had many fun (and removed) abilities over the years. For example, currently, convoke is just THE most fun spell for me to use.
Also for druids, they are very rarely “bad” in most forms of content. there have been times maybe a dps spec was below average, but overall they mostly good at all times.

Don’t worry I’m fully down for subjective.
I know there is no such thing as a true best class unless you’re looking at charts and how they preform. But even then, you could have a class that insta kills, and it would be no fun as there is no challenge.
For me, it’s all about world content and how well you can do that. While having a fun rotation
whats more fun than flying around as bird, then dive bombing as bear on top of something.

I did really like the travel forms of druid, but I could never fully connect with the specs.
Admittedly I only tried ballance and feral…
Based on the fact I play only one character and one spec, and badly – since… you know… epic suckage… I’m going to say that I think Arms Warriors are the best.

I can’t pick a single class, it’s not possible for me. My top three however, are Rogue, Paladin, and Hunter.
Rogue has been sort of my unofficial main over the last two expansions. Outlaw is really good, though I wish they hadn’t dialed back on the theme of it the way they did, (replacing… I forget the name of the basic attack that sounded all swashbuckler-y back to sinister strike) roll the bones needs to go and their AOE is pretty crappy. But I dunno, it just works for me somehow, and stealthing and vanishing has just been too useful to me these days.
Ret paladins have always been a meme, but ever since Wrath they’ve also been pretty good. They’re especially potent in Shadowlands, I find.
Hunters are of course another meme class, and obvious I’m sure. Marksman, in my case. Great damage, don’t need to micromanage a pet, though the option is still there, feign death is useful, rule of cool with guns, (please give us more that look like actual guns and not ridiculous cannons on sticks, and more crossbows too) and they’re just fun.
Ask what is the best class to 100 people, and you might get 100 different answers, even if they all say the same one.
Some people like simple ones, some people like complex ones. Some people like long rotations, some people like short rotations.
And for lots of reasons, some seemingly contradictory, someone can say it is Warlock, or Hunter, or Mage.
To me it is warlock, and the reasons I think it is the best class for me are some of the reasons some people think it is not for them.

I have 6 60’s. 2 Hunters (MM Alliance and BM Horde), an Outlaw Rogue, a Blood DK, a Balance Druid, and a Destruction Warlock.
I also like killing things from afar, and nothing gives me greater gaming joy than 1 shotting things at my level. So, my MM Hunter, Boomie, and Warlock get the most love.
I also like having stealth to skip trash, being able to drop aggro, not having to take a few rounds to build up to one shotting goodness, a pet that can hold aggro when necessary, and having a speed boost. Which for me makes my MM Hunter my #1 most bestest class ever.
I can see why you like Warlock. They are very good, imo. I just have the patience of a fruit fly and don’t like having to stop and fight every single mob that gets froggy.
Welcome back. It’s hard to pick just one class since I play them all. I’ll say it’s between ret paladin and bm hunter. Both have great survivability and are fairly simple to play. The one thing better about bm hunter is you can have cute pets. Although pathing can cause trouble in some places, I guess. 
If I was forced to give up all classes but one I’d have to keep my Druids. I can play any role with them. Stealth is freaking amazing. I do entire quests without leaving flight form. The lore behind them is fantastic. Just so much utility that nothing can beat them.
Are they my favourite class? No, that’s still a Mage. But they are the best class.

Probably one of the hero classes…Demon Hunter and Pally come to mind first for me
By what metrics though?
For casual, solo play I have most success/fun with my moonkin.
I enjoy my rogue and Chromix here more, generally, but ounce for ounce, the Druid is more versatile.

protection paladin.
you want to be ranged? boom, fill all your GCDs with shields with the right setup
you want to be melee? boom, go and smack those mobs
you want to never die and laugh in the face of the reaper himself? boom, amazing self heals and invulnerability
you want to do the big damage? boom, it’s not “big” but by no means will it take you a long time to kill things.
you want to pull the entire map AND be able to kill it? B O O M just lay down the law with some consecration, hammer of the righteous and as many pot lids as it takes to permanently silence those mobs.
people will even worship the ground you walk on if you ever decide to do group content.
Protection paladin is clearly the king of the classes.
also we sound like a kitchen falling down a flight of stairs, what more could you want?
