My guess is mid to late 40s would be a fair average.
I’m 31, played on-and-off since I was 10, watching over the shoulder of my older brother (he’s in his mid-40’s and hasn’t played since Wrath)
Also have a twin brother, that last played with me in MoP.
I continue to bear the torch.
63 age is me (sorta like Yoda)
Im 53. If i was to wager a guess, the average age of a wow player is prolly in the 20s if not 30s. Google fu says the avg age of all gamers is 35, it used to be 20 in the 90s.
I’ve got you both beat - I saw the very first lunar landing live on TV
well, considering WoW was released in November of 2004, i would assume the average joe is about 40 - 50 years old.
My alts guild’s demographic is 25-40. Most late 20s in there.
But my raid guild is 35-45 with some 50-60s.
So average is probably 30-40s.

scared me silly.
My mother was pissed my dad took me to see Aliens and I had it in my head this all took place in the sewers (I was 5 after all) and I totally expected to see Ripley and team pop out of the nearest sewer grate telling me the aliens are here.
Be like move over Clown, the real monsters are here
Yes, I grew up on horror films
I”m 45, turning 46 at the end of the year.
