What is the actual 2 button class?

BM legit has a 4 button rotation.

Yes. It literally has fewer than most, while literally not having only two. That would mean saying it has two is exaggerating for effect.

One can argue it isnā€™t ā€œgoing that farā€ but yet it still is an exaggeration.

Thought there was like 6 anyhow. Iā€™d definitely consider blood shed and death chakram to fall in the normal rotation if bestial wrath is also included.

It could be considered two because bestsil wrath can be considered a cd as itā€™s one minute and cobra shot is a filler.

Your main abilities are barbed shot and kill command.

And since BM has all the strengths of ranged and melee with none of the weaknesses itā€™s a very very easy spec to play.

I wouldnā€™t play this game with a controller.

Yeah you certainly wonā€™t find me arguing that itā€™s hard :stuck_out_tongue: Itā€™s very easy.

Playing my BM hunter is like going from Chess to tic-tac-toe in comparison to some classes.

You and I are in agreement on that! The OP seems deadset on it though. I know my fingers canā€™t move that quickly with controllers anymore.

Surprised nobody has mentioned destro, the spec is 6 buttons CDs included, very low apm due to all the chaos bolts.

If you play anything higher than normal dungeons, there literally isnā€™t a 2 button class or spec.

Ret/warrior are the true button classes

Iā€™ll be curious as to what you do to make it work. You should give us an update on your progress when you get to it!

Iā€™d love to see what 6 buttons you think Destro uses.

While Destro is the easiest lock spec itā€™s not 6 buttons.

Yeah thatā€™s really been my point this whole time. Unless youā€™re just hitting a training dummy then every ability you have might serve a purpose at any given moment. Relying on just your DPS buttons isnā€™t going to get you through all content.

You can certainly just rely on the basic rotation for BM for good numbers but if you are going to struggle to be capable of using cheetah, exhilaration, turtle, survival of the fittest, disengage, feign death, countershot you arenā€™t exactly optimal.

Bm hunter is their best bet.

Cobra shot
Kill command
Bestial wrath
Their offensive cd
Dire beast
Lust

You act like the majority of BM hunters use these abilities :joy:

Good point lol

I try to put my kit to use on everything though.

There is even more rotation stuff going on:
Barbed Shot, Explosive Arrow, Death Chakram

And Tranq. Shot for utility.

For literally 2 buttons, I did a simulation on BM like a month ago: I could do more than half my single target dps with only Barbed Shot and Kill Command. This is still with a regular talent build; youā€™d do better if you optimized for those 2 buttons. I havenā€™t tested what other specs you can do this with, but Iā€™m sure thereā€™s a few more if you pick the right talents, such as a Destro Incinerate + Chaos Bolt.

But you probably want something thatā€™s most effective with like 6 buttons or however many you have, including mobility/defensives and not having to do any ground targetting.

edit: I assume you are tab-targetting so healers are off the table

Itā€™s a spec based on CD management for burst. Depends what you consider optimal vs what that parses for.

Iā€™m aware. But as far as rotation goes, itā€™s whateverā€™s available. Itā€™s annoying how easy it is for the numbers it puts out lol

Personally I always felt that our rotation was super easy so we could focus more on our utility. A good paladin provides decent DPS, while a great one provides good DPS AND helps keep the party alive.

Drives me nuts anytime Iā€™m in a key and I see a ret not using things like our OP defensives and heals.
