Stupid question, I know but, the game needs a basic glossary for acronyms that old hands use and understand but leaves the rest of us scratching our heads.

DM=Deadmines
GG=âGood Game Old chap, Well played, I have nothing but respect for you and hope to see you once again on the field of battle and that your future endeavors are all successfulâ

(Can also be used sarcastically)
gg no re means good game, no redo, popularized by the best FFA warcraft 3 player and now hardened criminal, Marn.

Some one should fix my post up and then we should get it pinned, once we add everything. Would be nice and help welcome new people. Iâll add more as i remember.
List looks good. However, aggro generally means having one or more enemies going after you. For example âPulling agroâ means to overthreat itâs current target to make it attack you. Very rarely have I heard it in reference to setting a pet to aggressive.
It depends on where youâre coming from, as a tank iâve normally used Aggro to = Threat,
For example âYo let me get Aggro off you at X amount of timeâ
âOr wait till i have Aggroâ
I normally use Aggr for Agressive myself, or just say the word
Then again i donât play hunters, so i wouldnât know myself. I just know Aggro means General aggression form PC NPCS and so on,
The only MMO term Ive used that I have seen current gamers not recognize is when I say:
All of those mobs over there BAF.
I guess âBAFâ fell out of use in MMOs around the early 2000s but it just means âBring a friendâ. It was a way of telling someone that the mobs will come in groups if pulled instead of solo pulling.
Youâll probably need this one
âITOTGWYSâ
Iâm too old to get what youâre saying
But seriously, Iâm always googling what the abbreviation people are using these days means lol.
Bro did you type that out? Well done. Yup. +1 for pinning it.
That should be
Dot(s) = Damage Over TIme
FTFU: Fixed that for you
You meant Damage over Time
HOT = Heal over time
ISO = In search of (rarely used)
You might add âStrat UDâ in addition to âStrat Deadâ since I see Strat UD more
FC = Flag carrier
And then of course we could start going through all the spellsâ acronyms but thatâs for someone else lol.
oh oh, FITE FITE!
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere we go again.
