What is one thing you would change about the game

If you could change anything about the game by adding or removing something or just simply tuning something what would you do? I would like to see seasons all over azeroth, graphical changes during fall, winter, spring, etc. I know this would be a lot of hard work to do and it won’t happen, but its just one of my wishes lol.

I’m with you on this. I would love a more stark contrast between day and night, and I would like more, bigger weather events with visible seasons.

But if I could only change one thing…I’d add player housing. REAL player housing.

I would add dabbing to pvp.

Delete The Occulus.

Been wanting to do that since Wrath . . .

Few things:

Add dynamic weather and time cycling. I’ve always wanted to see actual weather in the game. The events in Shadowlands is a nice start at least, spooky time in Maldraxxus really changes the whole zone’s look.

Make night times actually dark. Give us this option without having to ruin the sky box with the potion. For those who don’t want it, there can be a toggle, but I want the effects of the inky black potion but without having to go with the boring, starry sky box that goes with it.

I’d love for the old world to get a visual update. It’s hard to go back and look at how ugly it is when compared to modern graphics.

Also the controversial remove the stupid faction wall already.

I would get rid of World Scaling and have fixed level zones.

One thing? I’ll just pick from the list then, the Throne of Thunder bridge bug, I’d fix that

Revamp gear drop rates immediately.

YES!! Make it so.

If nothing else, re-skin the racial mounts from Vanilla. OMG, we’re still riding around on 2004 model horses & kodos. I want kodos with saddle leather that creaks and updated huffing sounds from the animal with tribal paint on their scaly hides and just…new kodos, okay?

Preach.

I love this thread, already. These are some of my personal top wish-list things, as well.

And give us Gilneas back…as a proper capital.

Also, I’d finally make Silvermoon a proper city.

I would revert the loot drop changes so much that loot floods your bags.

Only one thing is tough. So I will go with something that is probably pretty controversial but would be great for the overall health of the game.

I would normalize gear ilevel in non rated PvP. Set it to say 170. Put the focus more on skill and class. This would help people behind the gear curve as well as make all random battlegrounds more competitive. I think it would also draw more people into pvp. As part of this I would also balance PvP separately and more aggressive. Again, only for non rated play.

Remove Blizzard.

Every time you accept a quest, have it be a cutscene, or at least for ONE quest per NPC that gives a quest… you get to select dialogue options, and your character actually TALKS during that cutscene… inside and outside of questing, you also get to interact with NPCs on a whole new level – even actually ROMANCE them if you want to – and get new quests that way…

I get it would be jarring for some players, who prefer / are used to WoW’s existing “static” / “boring” interactions between NPCs and our seemingly “dead on the inside” player character… and that yes, change(s) such as this would involve more time / effort / money on Blizzard’s part…

Of course it would be skippable and / or optional, except maybe for the dialogue choices… honestly though, compare this:

To this:

Then tell me which type of quest NPC interactions you would rather have in WoW, and why…

the fact that the vanilla overworld and dungeons is gone from retail. I would add it all back in.

Remove Elves and DHs.

On the bright side, I guess I know exactly which game I’m going back to if they do remove these, and / or I just get fed up with WoW (again)…

one thing i’d change? the whole game. i’d give it a massive overhaul.

first, native gamepad support. so sick of playing with my mouse and keyboard it’s not funny. i’ve worn-down my ‘w’ key so much it’s blank.

second, i’d have the classes each feel like a different game (though a couple would be similar in style) for example:

  • warriors would feel like a hack’n’slash/beat’em-up game (like the combat from brutal-legend)
  • mages and priests would feel like a 3rd person shooter (similar to infamous 2) where non-shadowpriest spells would heal/damage based on who they hit.
  • hunters would feel like botw/skyrim, with actually drawing-back their bow/reloading their gun/crossbow., and leaving proximity mines/traps.
  • rogues would get a MAJOR nerf/change, where ‘stealth’ would make them invisible only if behind their target (though, their healthbar/nameplate would always disappear when ‘stealthed’)

…i think you get the idea, generally i’d make the game more action oriented.

enemies… i’d make them more than just walking health/mana bars. give them actual a.i., and fighting styles. more than just the ‘melee, melee ability, self-buff ability, spell-caster’ styles they have now. make’em actually interact with the enviroment.

mounts i’d give healthbars and abilities too, and come in 3 basic types: weak, strong, and mechanical. think vehicle combat, but based on what mount you have (meaning your mount would give you a limited extra healthbar) with weak mounts having speedy abilities, strong having a mixture of combat and speed oriented ones, and mechanical having mostly combat abilities… and when your mount’s health runs-out, they run away, unless they’re mechanical, then they break-down, and you gotta go collect parts/money to get’em repaired.

i… may have spent a lot of time thinking about this.
