i just started doing yoga and wow my body is sore
I finally started wearing a continuous glucose monitor.
Wish I’d done it a lot sooner, this thing’s great.
Gym and cutting out fast food/soda. MOre water tea or coffee.
Been working out 5-6 days a week since college, so that I guess lol.
Breathing. I’ve tried stopping but I just keep passing out and doing it anyway so I finally gave in.
Moo!
(Tries thinking on healthy activities to list)
Umm…
Are you implying what I think you are? Because if you are, then you should really get help with that. There are resources out there.
Its intended as sarcasm, dark humor, and pointing out the absurdity of one not being able to simply stop breathing through shear will power. No need for any concern.
I just get cheese pizza now, no pepperoni.
No I’m not kidding.
Yoga is great for both mind and body!
I workout several days a week and plan out eating clean .
I get up and walk around every hour… At least five minutes. Ends up being about 3 miles a day…
Can’t say anything good about the rest of my previous healthy habits.
Screaming impotently into the void.
Id love to work out a lot but im lucky to get 3 days in. Toddlers man. Theyre a lot.
Stopped drinking alcohol and caffeinated beverages. All decaf, seltzers, stuff like that. Dropped 15 or so lbs in about 3 months just from those changes.
I think I should start doing this… I’m 30 years old, 6’5" with scoliosis and a fused lumbar. (I honestly forget at which points but you can feel it if you touch my back). My flexibility has always been bad. Now that I’ve passed my pristine years and my body will start aging and I’ll start putting on weight (I weigh less than 200lbs) I need to start adopting healthier habits. Yoga seems like a good start.
Any tips you’d share to fellow Yoga Noobs?
I’ve been eating my vegetables.
Nope. I just started yesterday.
I love that for you
Well about two years ago, I began really drinking water all the time. During a routine checkup found out I was severely dehydrated and that was causing headaches and stuff. The water has really helped, and I almost always have one with me. (I honestly did not realize how little water I was drinking before this)
I’ve been lifting pretty regularly for about the last year which I’ve been happy about.
I run some too with my kids who run track and cross country, but I’m not as consistent with that.
