Not “best” in PvP or raiding or whatever. Just most fun to play.
Because pets! There’s just nothing better.

SV Hunter because you get every cool thing that BM gets plus you get to throw bombs at people. 
Also Outlaw Rogue with the talent that lets you extend the range of all your spells by 3 yards.
In terms of pure fun, I like fury warrior. Its just nonstop button pressing and nonstop action.
BM Hunter bores me to tears.

My first max level character was a hunter, but I haven’t really played one since. Druid is my favorite class, even when it sucks.
I thought BM hunter was clunky.
Not my thing.
I have to agree with OP.
I can make alts of other classes and so on, but I always end up coming back to BM hunter.

i hate pets and avoid pet classes at all cost
Love my BM hunter, it’s a ton of fun.
But I just can’t shake the Druid for Bear, Cat, & Resto.
When beast master gets stealth, and I mean real stealth, not the cheap knockoff that is camouflage, then it will be in the running for most fun class.
Until then, the answer is still rogue.
BM is the ultimate spec.
Everyone else is just a pretender trying to be cool.
Wear whatever weapons and armor you want, you’ll never as cool as a dude with both a gun and a T-Rex.
He may do less damage, but he’s far cooler. 
Unholy DK is surprisingly fun with necrolord covenant abilities, always lots of things to do and they are on the higher end of the dps charts right now… I used to be opposed to unholy dk because I liked frost so much but it has been fun learning to play it… enhance shammy is also pretty fun with a wide toolkit to make use of.
BM Hunter feels weaker in PvP, unless the entire faction is clumped up on each other for some good aoe, like Ashran, but then the pet dies like crazy.
Druids:
- Instant mount
- Can’t be knocked off your mount
- Underwater breathing
- Faster swim speed
- Mount your flying mount while falling
- Slowfall in moonkin form (available in all specs)
- Class hall has unique portals
- Has a leap (travel form wild charge) that can be used to prevent fall damage, recover from knockback in PvP, etc.
- Can stance dance to remove movement impairing effects in PvP
- Immune to polymorph most of the time
- Gather/loot/interact while mounted.
- Use quest items while mounted.
- Can perform all roles
- Stealth in all specs
- Healing in all specs
- Ranged DPS
- Melee DPS
- Magic DPS
- Physical DPS
- Most of your heals are instant cast (even wild growth if PvP talented), meaning in PvP it’s harder for you to be counter-spelled
- Combat rez in all specs
- Reduced fall damage in cat form (all specs)
- Passive 15% speed increase in cat form (all specs)
To be clear though I don’t play Druid. I don’t want the training wheels.

I wanted to like BM Hunter but there is something about leaving all the power to the pets that makes me feel bored.
That’s awful stealth. You can’t even move.
Bm is the most boring spec I’ve played
BM Hunter? Is that a type of Holy Paladin?
Does BM not have less buttons to press than Havoc?
