Often when they add content in a new patch or during downtime, it breaks the game in ways that weren’t caught on the PTR. So usually there are subsequent downtimes to fix those problems.
I’d rather them fix those problems than let them go ignored.

They’re typically problems that they ignored on PTR because it wasn’t part of their “correction phase” at the time. So if they addressed them on ptr when they’re reported, they wouldn’t need this downtime as much.
Didn’t know people get upset when blizzard have to fix something ASAP

Does anyone know if this is planned for each day this week or just today?
I think they made themselves clear, we are supporting a doomed cosmos.
Translate: WoW is dead. It was a robot with no real purpose and they decided to strip the flesh from it and move on.
I’m not paying for another dead game’s xpac when even the producers are trying to get rid of us.
With any luck they are fixing all these random disconnects that have cost many people bricked keys…

I’m with you, I don’t mind patches occasionally, BUT EVERY DAY is Ridiculous. Expecially with the miniscule content that is being released each week right now. I log in do the new content / Chapter, and it takes an hour or two, and I’m done again. Let’s wait another week. Hurry Up and WAIT! Let’s Get some content into the damn game that keeps us busy for a little while. ANd RELEASE ALL the content quit doing a little at a time.

And how would you play it if they never fixed bugs and it actually became unplayable?

Not my problem. Fix the game without taking everything down all the time. 3/4 the crap they’re working on is the crap…sorry “new content”…I’m trying to avoid right now anyway.

There were a series of issues with disconnects and probably raid bugs that need fixed. Relax, OP. God forbid stuff get fixed so you can play properly.

Correct, it’s not your problem, because they work to make sure it isn’t. So I don’t get the complaint here. There’s a lot of things Blizzard does wrong. Maintaining their servers isn’t one of them.
With maint yesterday kinda not surprised to see another this morning. Hoping it’s worked out whatever it is so it doesn’t go further than right now.
I would expect competent developers to make sure their stuff works during an appropriate period during a test and dev cycle. We are paying to be their software testers, most corporations pay big bucks for software engineers to test properly and release unbroken content.
