Like others have suggested I would recommend a more relaxed schedule for killing the goblin. My typical plan has been to log on, do a few kills then go about whatever else I want to do. Going back to the goblin events later on.
Still need a leg, the mount and the polearm myself, been amusing going to these events myself, watching all the lag and Sunflower shouts.
apparently the key is knowing you will never get the mount because you have terrible luck with promo mounts and giving up ever getting it yet doing the event anyway because alts need bags…
third try of today and it dropped! yay!
I got the guitar last night. It’s just musical notes that float around, can’t actually see the guitar,ngl was a bit dissapointed in that
Basically, you’re first goblin each day gives you the best chance to get the mount. After that the chances for it to drop are much less. Also, I’m pretty sure that’s per account and not per character.
I was always disappointed by it doing the using hearthstone animation. Hopefully they update it like they did with the Tome of Town Portal.
I know the feeling! Trust me you guys will get it, it just has a shockingly low drop rate.
Wowhead lists it at 0.9% but I am assuming that includes the ‘greatly increased first drop of the day’ meaning it’s much lower than that.
My own experience is it took well over 220 kills, someone else on Wowhead posted 400 and still no mount 
EDIT: also I feel because of the low chance which means a large amount of peeps won’t get it, it will probably be on the trading post in the coming cycles <3

Its like 1% or less drop rate, you may not get it. you had December to buy it for $25.
Dont get your hopes up, just being honest here. Good news is there’s a chance it will eventually return to the store for $25 - so have an extra $50 in the bank ready to buy it for both of you. And its not dumb. The mount has had a history related to $$. First you had to buy a 1 year sub a LONG time ago to get it. Then in December $25 on store. It prevents devalue so those of us who got it in 1 of 2 prior instances still has some meaning and we don’t feel scammed from the december sale, also preventing any lawsuits, since this event is giving it away for $0.

Doubt its gonna be on the trading post, it’ll sooner be on the store for $25 again. What probably got datamined was the mount for this event. If it is on trading post, they will be open to having scammed people via shady marketing in December when they planned to hand it out anyhow and lawsuits incoming because they took peoples $$ then what you said…even they aren’t that stupid.
The hearthstone portal toy and the guitar are from a previous tie-in event, long enough ago that we’ve had plenty of time to forget all about it. ^.^
There is zero point to repeatedly farming the goblin outside of the first kill of the day per account once you’ve already gotten the 3 toys, bag and mogs.
Well, some of are hoping for as many characters to get a bag as possible, any main-ish characters that we care about. Inventory is always stuffed, it seems, and while 36 slots isn’t dramatically bigger, it’s still four slots more than my tailor can make so far. The bags are a frustratingly low drop chance, but I can’t resist trying to get them, going from character to character after that magical moment another horadric haversack appears in the loot toast.
That’s why I said once you’ve “already gotten the bag”. Also the max number of slots a tailor can make is 34 slots. But you may not be at that skill level yet with your tailor as you say.
Yep, I’m aware there’s better crafted ones, but I’m on the slow side of getting to that lofty point. Someday! I still don’t quite understand your comment since you said “per account.” Potentially, that’s 60 bags (and ahem some goofy old gals have more than one account) so it’s hard to imagine being done with the bags…like…ever. ^.~
The boosted drop rate for the mount and bag only applies to your first kill of the day per account per the Blizz offical response on wowhead. It does technically still drop on subsequent kills of the day, but the drop rate is less. IMO less enough to not make it worthwhile farming after the first kill once for the bag and mount.
It’s basically like the love rocket mount. Worth farming once per day per account. But a fools errand after that.

Oh, I see, now! Thanks for patiently explaining. Had the mount ages ago, might have been one of the first “non-in-game” mounts I obtained. I can say with some certainty (as certain as rng permits) that the bag doesn’t vary from the first to the umpteenth time you slay the goblin per day. It sometimes seems higher on the first time a character does it for the day, but also since I stop using that character after that blush of success, it could just be an unsubstantiated feeling.
