I’m a resto shaman, just returning after a few-months break from season 1 of BFA. Season 1 was my first season back since Cata. Call me washed or whatever you want, but in Cata I had played on the bg9 bracket to 2900+ and held top 10 spots on bg9 for multiple seasons. I was able to get to 2300+ in season 1, but felt as I was hard-capping there, but I couldn’t figure out why. It’s like I couldn’t put my finger on the determining factor in our wins and losses. After every match I’d make it a habit to think of what went well, what didn’t go so well, and why, etc. Now it’s even worse. Playing shaman, I die through my cds on a regular basis, or have to overlap defensive cd’s,(Use wall AND drop my earthen) not even panicking, i’ll literally die if I don’t. My teammates die while they’re sitting in my earthen and i’m pve healing. If I go for a hex my teammate goes 100-30 during the casting time. I don’t even know what to say. I don’t know what to do. What is life?
what’s a bg9?
Battlegroup. Way back when, servers were in groups with other servers, called a Battlegroup. You would only ever queue into your fellow Battlegroup servers in queued content.
What azerite pieces are you using? they give a massive stam increase based on the ilvl you’re using + 2 ring traits, also require high neck level to get the defensives out of it

problem is probably your gear is not mythic raid gear.
gear does matter, despite what everyone told you in trade chat.
