What is everyones prefered spec for mythic plus

title says it all

I kind of prefer Aff for keys. But once I get that 4p, I’ll more than likely go destro.

is not what you prefer, its what blizzard force you to play, and yeah i prefer affliction but its the worse spec in the game.

I’ll run destro and I’ve been running destro all xpac.

Play whatever you’re good at. No sense chasing the meta because you’ll never really catch it.

Good advice.

I try and stay sharp on all three specs but prefer affliction for keys. Slightly sad the four-piece doesn’t help them in keys but doubt I’ll play it less, just will jump on destro more.

After hearing all the Affliction talk, I tried it out. Right now, all three of my specs are in the 7.5-10k avg DPS on M15+. Obviously different based on affixes and group comp. Currently trying to learn affliction really good.

i try and stay with meta and trying to figure out destro…but wasnt sure if destro or aff is better for mythics now. also how do you go about getting the tier set?

I just returned this month what is a good ilvl to get started in keys. It feels daunting to catch up right now. Is it even possible or should i wait until next expansion?

As much as I’m loving Demo right now, I still prefer Destro (which I’ll probably switch back to this patch) all things being equal. It has the advantage of being able to run Felpuppy to purge (and the interrupt doesn’t stun which sometimes is a good thing), and the damage profile fits the unpredictability of PuG life better with no need for ramping etc.

i got caught up in less than 2 weeks with the garbo systems and ilvl is 241 now.

Probably havoc

Been destro the entire xpac and never ever tried aff or demo a single time

Prefer aff but not sure what i’ll run with the 4pc. Demono looks solid with the 4pc and has the best single target. Detro aoe looks broken with the 4pc but very rng. The inevitable demise spec could surprise with the buff to the aff tier set.

I enjoy Aff, there’s just an unmatched level of relaxation and QoL about being able to perform on the move.
Knowing I have my core DoTs rolling allows me to focus on doing mechanics without the stress of “I’m not DPSing right now, i’m useless”.

The tier set is underwhelming but other than that the spec is satisfying to me.

I also used to hate Sow the seeds, I came from Mage so it was underwhelming. But its grown on me (ironic huh?).

Bewteen Demo and Destro it’s a hard one. As long as Fire & Brimstone is viable though I’ll always enjoy Destro AOE.

These types of statements aren’t as helpful as you think they are since no one knows how much you played during that two week period.

For example, you could have spammed M+ for 8 hours a day for 14 days, and that wouldn’t make catching up easy.

Or you could simply spend less than five minutes and see all of the catch-up mechanics they’ve put in, including crafted gear. It’s also quite comical that you got upset enough to call out his post as not adding anything while posting something that literally provided no value.

Let’s see here.

  1. Use of hyperbole “less than five minutes to search the many catch up mechanics”
  2. Assuming that I’m upset and “calling out” because I respond.
  3. Misuse of the word “literally”.
  4. Saying my post has no value (according to what metric and by whom?) yet responding to it.

Lots of issues in my non-upset, just bored opinion.

Edit: I also never said his post didn’t “add anything”. My point was that these statements need clarification since how many days it takes to do something is a bad metric. An estimate of how many hours it takes you is much more clear.

  1. Hyperbole - maybe learn the definition before trying to insinuate someone is using it. Googling WoW 9.2. catch-up literally takes less than 30 seconds (which is less than 5 minutes) and shows just how easy it is to catch up currently.
  2. Your response shows you were upset enough to even respond.
  3. Literally was used as it’s intended. Your post literally added no value other than to whine about what he said.

You “literally” said his post wasn’t helpful. Imagine the toddler-like mentality it takes because a random stranger on the forums didn’t break down the time it took him to gear by # of hours. The amount of stupid posted here grows daily.
