What is considered the EASIEST melee DPS class?

Just curious here because I have almost always played either a Healer or a Ranged DPS and as a result I know next to nothing about the melee classes.

So what is the “easiest” melee class in your opinion? And just for fun what would you say the hardest is?

Currently playing a Fury Warrior and Havoc Demon Hunter. Both are very easy with simple priorities.

DH probably wins as it’s single target and aoe isn’t much different in terms of skill usage. Fury, you have to keep track of a buff so your abilities cleave.

Edit: I’m not sure what would be hardest. Only other melee I play is feral and it’s only difficulty is maintaining bleeds.

Demon Hunter, no contest.

I have no idea what the easiest would be, but as a druid i have played Feral. It’s not the hardest thing I’ve ever done in this game, but it’s certainly not the easiest. It’s rotation is bonkers.

So many things to keep track of.

Public perception/bandwagon/meme is Demon Hunter.

Realistically it’s all of them except for maybe Sub and Feral. Seriously, they’re all easy and any difference in “skill” is so minimal that it’s insignificant. I don’t mean that in a negative way.

This. I was able to do decent DPS as a Havoc DH while eating my morning oatmeal. It’s 3-4 buttons max.

I believe it’s actually six if you don’t take that talent that replaces Demons Bite.

Trying to do this from memory

Demons Bite
Chaos Strike
Immolation Aura
That one AOE (but also single target) dashy attack
Eyeball Laser
And the gap closer that’s also used in the normal rotation

Demon Hunter.

By about 300 miles. If this were a race to be the easiest, all the melee classes would be at the starting line drawing starting order, and Demon Hunter would be on the podium receiving his gold medal.

Highly depends on talent and Azerite traits. You don’t use Death Sweep/Blade Dance on ST unless you’re talented and traited for it.

You don’t use the gap closer in the rotation unless you’re using Momentum.

Immolation Aura is a talent and is not required.

With Demon’s bite, you can actually get a 2 button rotation if you use 0 Blade dance talents/traits : Chaos Strike/Eye Beam.

Havoc DH imo

Still can’t agree. I don’t know what problems you’re having with the other melee specs aside from Sub and Feral but I really don’t find them any significant degree of challenging than DH. But it’s the hip thing to hate on and disparage because it’s the new flashy class.

Easiest: Havoc DH

Ret Pally would be a distant second, but gets the Silver nonetheless.

As far as hardest… I would say Feral requires the most skill to maximize.

No, it’s because objectively Demon Hunters are dumb easy to play with low actual synergy between abilities.

Try describing Breath of Sindragosa where you need to actually sit on Frost Strike to not spend Runic too fast, while optimizing Runic building through Rune spending.

Demon Hunter : Eye Beam, Chaos Strike lololol.

I don’t know why you’re getting so mad that Demon Hunter is such a simple DPS spec. It is, no one is mad it is, it’s still massively fun to play. But it’s brain dead simple.

I haven’t got deep into outlaw but that one seems fairly complicated because it’s not a set rotation but very reactionary and takes a good feel to stretch out blade furry to it’s best effect. Plus you got bazillion interrupts and other utility.

No class really has enough difficulty to worry about whats easiest. Going to a guide and memorizing button order will put you above alot of players shockingly enough.

Retribution Paladin is quite a bit more complex than people let on, especially considering the current ES meta.

Am I getting mad?

And did I say it wasn’t simple?

When you start posting personal attacks like :

Yes, to me that says you might be getting a bit iritated.
