When I ask high rated streamers like Swifty, Cdew, Bageeras, and the other guy who I forget his name, they all say the same thing. Ladder feels basically the same as last season. It’s neither deflated or inflated. It’s just well there.
And honestly, I can agree with them. In fact, i’ve faced less boosters on my way to 2100 than last season. Is the gear gap a tad more massive than last season? Yup! Is there more grinding than last season? Yah! On top of that, you got to fork over 100k to 400k gold to upgrade your legendary.
So I personally would blame Blizzard for my low ratings if anything at all. Thank you.
Probably carries, some people struggle to fight against fully geared player carrying someone in low bracket. Shadowlands has many fake gladiators who were carried to get mount

You’re playing the BEST/MOST busted 2s spec in the game and then act like its tryhard to land ez mode traps. You’re nothing more than a clown being carried “yet again” by spec.
Pure comps since I dont run a cookie cutter comp and play double dps. Threes isnt fun so we dont bother with it. In twos after 1800 its 90% hunter X. Everyone running necro shields and playing a class that does not have an on call slow. The game is just terrible think last night is going to do it for me =/ back to blackdesert where i run around in a circle for an hour killing orcs.
Not adapting to class changes (WW monks atm werent as much of an issue for me and now they feel broken af)
Playing the lfg lottery. Play with a priest who gets globaled without popping painsup and then rage quits and blames me reaulting in me losing 23 rsting and going back to the drawing board.
Being a shift worker and having a family resulting in me being online at odd times and not keeping any meaningful teams/relationships in game
Not setting myself up with the proper UI, addons and weakauras that a lot of ppl use to make it easier for them.
Playing multiple classes and being a jack of all trades master of none
If i had no other commitments, i would probably care more and actually try to get better. Too much other stuff happening in life, + i raid and pve more this tier.
There ya go, i cbf putting the effort in to get better combined with all my other points. Too much effort. To top it off, some of the broken things in pvp that EVERYONE knows about is also a turn off. Pvp atm isnt worth my time to gain rsting past 1600
I respectivellly disagree. So for me, im a pure LFG player. No strats. No comms. I rely on instincts and common sense. I was 2440cr Elite in BFA season 4. Prior to that I always hovered around 2200-2350ish. Goes to show you dont need fancy addons or basically anything to get decent ratings in this game.
I cant make plans like that. Only having work is fine. Having shift work AND 3 kids and a wife and house to look after is a whole other story.
If i was back in my mid 20’s and wanted all in on pvp and treated it like a second job like a lot of top pvpers do, i would be higher than what i am. I know i have higher potential, just atm im not interested or have the time to attain it and get better at the game. Im at peace with that
Im not trying to make excuses. Im giving reasons to why im 1600. And part of that is admitting im not good enough on my own to play upto 1800 because i dont have the time or care to get better given mine and the games circumstances.
You are very skilled and have attained that with your own effort. You are a great player and i have seen that first hand.
as someone who’s a pure YOLOr, I guess that could keep you at low ratings. i honestly dont know.
