There was a cartoon when I was young called What’s With Andy? and if that was a guide to “Andys” they are pretty unlikable.
Andy?
A (prefix here) andy is someone who is very standard and therefore all of their properties and behaviors are easily generalizable. For example, a classic andy is a WoW classic player who acts and communicates the way you would expect a standard WoW classic player to. A retail andy is a WoW retail player who acts and communicates the way you would expect a retail WoW player to. Who is an Andy depends on what you expect of the group you’re trying to generalize them with.

also there’s def different species of andy…many of them exist on these very forums!

There’s also Andy Griffith, Andy Devine, Andy Warhol, etc and I suppose you could also go into the Andrews. There you find to Presidents, Andrew Jackson and Andrew Johnson along with Prince Andrew, Andrew Carnegie and Andrew Cuomo.
