What is actually going on during resets?

Especially on these long days. What is actually going on behind scenes?

well if they are messing with anything physically then a lot LOT of walking back and forth, pretending to be busy…then cussing because you forgot to plug cable 63 back in and now its behind 12 other racks that you have to pull apart.

They are swapping out the dead hamsters for live ones.

If it is not pre-patch, exactly what is it, did they get hacked?

i have to assume their pre-downloading stuff for sl or something

Maintenance of servers and equipment, they don’t have to get hacked for that to happen, its normal. You have to dust your PC from time to time, you know?

They aren’t going to release prepatch without at least two weeks notice, if nothing else, due to pvp season.

It’s probably a mix of back-end stuff in preparation for prepatch and Shadowlands, and maybe even realm connections.

Unless, of course, you want a new one because the old one overheated. :no_mouth:

Pizza party at Blizz

If they’re still using their own physical data centers that they manage themselves, then they’re screwing up big time and wasting a ton of money.

Some of those centers are in Canada,

pretty sure they’re clearing out the servers ram or something. either that, or they’re coaxing the lich-king back to the top of icc with a handful of frozen carrots.

“Server work to prepare for Shadowlands launch” would be my expectation.

Or epic ping pong match. That’s another possibility.
